Signing for Rovers tomorrow, according to Twitter.
Good luck to the lad, least we will get some compensation.

Re: Connor Mahoney
No doubt an "undisclosed fee" where we won't know whether we've been shafted or actually got a decent fee.
It would have been nice to see the lad develop a little here at the Crown and have the vultures (scouts from other clubs) flocking in to see him on a regular basis before we had to inevitably part with more talent.
Finding and developing these younger players will always be our lot, but it would be nice if we could stick out for better deals, a.l.a. like Crewe Alex have done for years......before losing our better talents to bigger fish.......
I suppose losing our bright young players / talent is something else we can thank the apathetic Accrington public for.......

Re: Connor Mahoney
Disappointing in my view that he's leaving us now as would have been good to see him progress in a Stanley shirt over next 18 months or so before the inevitable departure.
Given his obvious talent, it begs the question why none of the 'bigger fish' signed him up on him leaving school? Not complaining though, as we'll get a fee from this.

Think he's gone full circle, Blackburn spotted him first, went to Burnley then Stanley

You won't know for years if the club has been shafted on a lad of that age, could turn out to be a good deal if the lad doesn't fulfil his potential. The only way to make the deal good is too make sure there are lots of clauses for future progression, as I'm sure they have. This has been going on for a while that I know of and the club have turned down quite a few offers.

Thats true Dave.
No-one can predict how things will turn out as a lot of luck is required, but he will have great coaching/facilities to assist his progression.
Seen loads of great kids not been given the opportunity and top drawer kids just lose interest.
Keith Treacy was unbelievable at 16/17 and it was so easy for him,now hes playing at Burnley instead of a top prem team (sorry Dave !! )
