I would retain all those if possible, reckon the goalie to me is a confidence player,n in recent games has certainly earned his corn,

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
I think the best Leam can hope for is that the players who will be tempted by the money tell him at the outset so he knows he will have to cover those positions. Unfortunatley recent form means it's likely there will be a big shift in turnover, very few players have loyalty to a club, human nature says if a well paid job is offered you are likely to take it. Only later will you know if you regret it. I'm sure we have all been there.

Recent form is far from unfortunate in my book, were still a league club.

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
To be honest, I think we've got to put good, improved deals in front of all of the lads under 24.Ideally 2 year contracts for the star performers.
Add some incentive based clauses..... should we progress towards holding down a place in the top seven / promotion and others should we achieve the goal of promotion next season.
Build in provisions that they're free to speak to another side as long as a realistic minimum bid is received for any of them during the duration of the contract (should they sign the improved deal)
And try & persuade some of these lads, that forwarding their career at Stanley in the short term may be better than getting splinters in their backsides at a "bigger" club.
If all that fails, then at least by offering improved terms to the lads under 24 we get a fee if they turn down the improved deal, should they choose to move on. Should they sign the improved deals and a bigger side comes sniffing, we get a "proper" fee.
It would be nice to keep the majority of these players next season as I think the "penny has dropped" and we're now playing as a very effective and cohesive unit. Like others have said, a few additions in certain areas and this side could suprise a few next season.

that's the real heartbreak of being a poor club. Linganzi has some real potential which will only be fulfilled if he is playing week in week out. If he stays here for a while longer (half a chance, he's been bench warming for a long time) then we could stand to make a goodly amount of money on him - but we can't afford to offer him the deal that should make him stay ... so we'll get nowt.
Similar story for Molyneux but I suspect not as high a potential fee eventually
Alex Cisak is another who could have played another 100 games for us in League 2 and would probably be on higher radars now - but went to Oldham and is now out of favour.
Bobby Grant, Jimmy Ryan - if we could have afforded improved offers to stave off the interest of a slighter higher club would have played week in week out at a level they excelled at and would probably have got bigger moves.
I don't begrudge any of them for moving on for the first sniff of better money, but it's such a shame that we'll probably never get the big money because we cant hold on to them long enough.

I personally wouldn't mind if Alex Cisak came back to us from Oldham and possibly Phil Edwards from Rochdale, surprisingly and controversially, I would have Andy Mangan back off Fleetwood, but Ithink they are all probably non-starters for our little club.

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
perhaps that gives way to a close season distraction thread?
what 18 man squad would you have out of the players that have played for us in recent seasons (and are still playing) if we had twice the budget that we have? Given that we reckon this seasons budget to be around £500k, a cool £1m still wouldn't be much to some of the teams in this division but would double the wages keep Linganzi, Molyneux and Boco? Would double the wages have kept hold of Edwards, Cisak, Grant and Ryan? Obviously players like Elliot and Roberts would be out of the question
Food for thought ...

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
Think for his first season,Miller did ok and just run out of steam, which happens.Great potential and I hope we re-sign him as I feel he will improve with the experience he has gained.
Wouldn't dismiss Clarke either,as he is young but has something about him.

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
Smudgie, as much as I like Cameron Belford, I have this distinct impression that Rachubka may just stay with us, and lets not forget , yes he is in the old Bav's mode of giving everyone a heart attack, but equally he has made some important saves for us this season. So maybe the team will be Rachubka and the remainder i.e. this seasons team. On players to keep, I personally wouldn't mind keeping Bohan Dixon, even if it means loaning him out again early doors. I believe he will make a superb centre forward for us one day.

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
I think Dixon has the makings of a fair un, Reckon he may learn more from Franny n Beattie than out on loan?

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
Dixon is a young lad with potential but as with Carver needs game time at a decent level.
Hopefully they go on loan to Southport or Altrincham etc and show us what they can do.

Re: Contracts /retained for next season.
Interested to find out how Andy Owens did at southport, liked him a lot,and I think they played him in centre mid and he was comfortable in possession .He may be ready for another crack at league football
