Could you design a logo for The Club that wouldn't Die?

As you all possibly know, Accrington Stanley Supporters Club are holding an exhibition of the fans history in July and August next year (exact dates to be confirmed soon) and the venue has now been decided and it will be held at Accrington Library.

The steering group are holding a competition to design a new logo for the exhibition and project. This logo will be used on all printed material and all exhibition information. It will need to incorporate the name of the project The Club that wouldn't Die! and Accrington Stanley Supporters Club - so could be a bit wordy but needs to be very striking.

The competition will run from now until 16th December. Entries can be emailed to [email protected] or posted to the Accrington Stanley Supporters Club c/o Livingstone Road, Accrington.

Attached is a brief and explanation of what a logo is and what it should do. Please read this first.

Don't post any designs on this thread.

The winner will be decided by the steering group and their decision is final. The winning design will then be professionally drawn up (so don't worry if your idea is just a rough sketch).

The winner will receive club merchandise to the value of £50 of their choice.

You don't have to be local to enter, or even a member of the supporters club, this competition is open to everyone.

Good luck!

excellent work Zman.

FCStanley, yours looks okay on a website but the winning design will be used on any stationary needed by the club for the exhibition, the photo bit of yours would be trickier and expensive to produce - good work though

Zero unless you drew the bird, hands and football yourself, or gained permission from the person who did, you wouldn't be able to use them - breaks copyright laws.

I'll whip up something legal if I get the time.

It`s a non profit organisation ain`t it.
The artist of the phoenix is long dead as it`s very old.
And it would`nt take me long with a good old fashioned pencil to whip up some arms.
