Craig Lindfield
Is Craig still with you guys?
He's on trial tonight for Carlisle in a reserve game at CP.
Hope everything works out for you. Still find it hard to understand why your previous regime let it get so bad though.

Re: Craig Lindfield
He was on loan to us from Liverpool at the end of last season and has since been released (contract ended by mutual consent).

Re: Craig Lindfield
Carlisle have decided not to offer him a contract.
Would love have him back at Stanley, but with Bobby Grant looking much better as a striker rather than a winger (and the midfield also looking better with Turner and Joyce there as a result), we already have four players competing for two places. Can't see us signing him before Kee returns to Leicester even if the FA embargo is lifted.

Could we not offer non-contract terms to get over this embargo?

Forget answering that - apparently we can only have 20 players registered so no non-contract won't work as we would still have to register him.

Re: Craig Lindfield
So would mean we would have to get rid of some players in order to get someone else in?

Re: Craig Lindfield
That's right SM, need to look at loaning some out... Only way we will bring players in.

Re: Craig Lindfield

Re: Craig Lindfield
I think if there was a way to get around the embargo and sign Lindfiled then Coley would've done it already. Wouldn't have been surprised to see Gary King jettisoned to make way for Craig, but I doubt we could afford any necessary pay off.

Re: Craig Lindfield
Surely you can register John Mullin as a coach and thus open an option for Lindfield to sign. If not we could remove a youth player such as Bevan Burey ?

As far as I know Bevan isn't with the club anymore. I don't think he was offered a contract.
We have twenty registered first team players in Martin, Dunbavin, Murphy, Edwards, Kempson, Winnard, King, Richardson, Lees, Ryan, Joyce, Procter, Turner, Miles, McConville, Mullin, Grant, Kee, Symes and King. One of those would have to be sacrificed to bring in any other player.
