Did you see Ian Dury on before Dr. Feelgood? His keyboard player Micky Gallagher was on at the Aspinall Arms not so long ago, playing with the current Animals line-up. Great player and he had some tasty stories of getting Ian out of trouble on many occasions!

Re: Crewe Match Thread

Looks like Crewe fans are agreeing with whats gone on;

Quote:
"Can't help thinking our stewards caused it though with their heavy-handed treatment of the Accy man."

Agreed! They'll be kicking off with opposing players when they go over to clap their fans next. A total over-reaction by our stewards provoked the whole incident. Should be ashamed of themselves.....

Maybe now a club official has been dealt with by the stweards they will start to realise what the average football fan has to put up with week in week out. I'm suprised the police didn't try and baton Jimmy as well

Spoiled the match, we did not deserve to win, but we did not deserve the scoreline!!
Coley was correct in taking off Kempo. We were trailing 2-1 at the time and staring down a likely 3-1 scoreline. Replacing a defender rather than an attacking player was 100% correct

How does that work then??? You should take off a midfielder or an attacker, before you go three at the back???

I think the scoreline would suggest otherwise, I would have taken Symes off and gone to one up top

Re: Crewe Match Thread

Our last trip to Gresty Road, also ended in a four goal defeat, but, unlike the last time - '62 - I believe that not only will we play Barnet, but we will also be entertaining Chesterfield at the weekend, plus all this seasons FANtastic results, will stand!!

Re: Crewe Match Thread

from
Viewing a thread - Accrington on pitch fight

know what happened... Their assistant manager got floored for clapping the Accy fans by our over zealous dicks of stewards.

Jimmy Bell was wrestled to the floor and John Coleman told me he was livid, quite rightly so too.

An assistant manager treated like a pitch invader, got in a head lock and piled on on the ground, f00k me this is seriously embarrassing for us and Coleman wants the CCTV.

Imagine Baker next year (when he's back) with Dario coming over to us away and getting hammered to ground.

Jimmy Bell is a legend to all them Accy fans, no wonder they came on the pitch, our stewards didn't see his Initials JB on his Official team-ware shell-suit either, morons!

Well, there's loyalty for you - fickle ******. Hope you enjoy the premiership prima donnas - somehow I doubt it!
As for today's game, we were at sixes & sevens throughout, didn't deserve to win but scoreline flattered Crewe - they were nothing special but unfortunately outplayed us for most of the game/
On to the Jimmy Bell incident - what a disgrace, the stewards responsible ought never to officiate at a game anywhere, ever again. All Jimmy was doing was coming over to clap our fans & found himself being wrestled to the ground, some of our lot have it on camera - should make interesting viewing.
