Re: Date This Photo

Good link K.S.H. apart from the Kandishlocken pop up.

However if you look at the photo I posted with the help of Len you can see that Jack Tattersall is a lot younger. than the one on the link, also in Beedons complete history the photo of the 1920-21 team shows Jack again looking older.

Re: Date This Photo

Thanks K.S.H.

Only references to jack Tattersall come as 1919 to 1922 but I'm sure looking at the photo he's a lot younger than references at Stanley.
So it has now got me thinking that the photo is from a previous team he played for however the guy first on left of back row looks similar to the one first left of photo in beedons of 1921 team with an added tache.

Re: Date This Photo

I have the original, but scanned and cleaned up a bit before posting, the trophy is less clear on original

Re: Date This Photo

Looking again I think it is just a ball with hand written card in front not a trophy

Hmm you could be right, what I would do is put it back in the scanner and select a very high resoloution and just scan that area, its no good doing it at 300dpi you want to go a lot higher and you might be able to pick some detail out, I have done this before with good results

There is a link on the http://www.accringtonstanley.has.it/ site with club colours and some drawings of the strips

Re: Date This Photo

You might find it better to pick out detail by scanning in black and white as well

Re: Date This Photo

Possibly the team is Oswaldtwistle St Mary,s where Tattersall spent his earlier years.

Re: Date This Photo

Tried scanning at 600dpi, made no improvement on the card.

Ossy kid, looking at the age of Jack on the photo you are probably right, St Mary's it then, that will explain the cross on the shirts.

Question now is still the year and names of others in the photo?
