Re: David Dunn

I read something in the Lancashire Telegraph a couple of days ago quoted to John Coleman that sounded like a deal with Stanley may be on the cards but not for Dunn to be playing right at the very start of the season.
Now I don't quite understand that and I believe Dunny has got other deals in the pipeline as well but anyway we shall see....

Re: David Dunn

HITC Sport reports that Dunn is being lined up by Dean Saunders for a player coach role at Chesterfield. Doesn't sound good for us.

Re: David Dunn

Don't do it, David. That would be one hell of a commute. The last time we played Chesterfield the coach only just made it for the kick off. As Rigby's finest crawled through Hathersage on the way there I noticed "Coleman's Cafe" on the High Street!

That spire is once again the most crooked thing in Chesterfield after the departure of a certain someone.

Re: David Dunn

That was mentioned on league show last night, maybe it was in the pipeline from the start - just probably not expected to happen so quickly, good luck to him

Re: David Dunn

Wonder if he could still do a job in midfield for us until the end of the season....

Probably yes but would think this is his last chance to join Stanley come on David could just help push us to promotion and help you forget about Oldham.

Re: David Dunn

Would be interesting to see if he did sign how many Rovers fans he could attract!

If hes asked, reckon it would certainly be a good addition on the home run.

Re: David Dunn

Didn't Coley say something when Dunny left Rovers & there was speculation about him coming to Stanley along the lines of he probably won't start the season with us but it was highly likely he'd be on the pitch by the end of it?

yes he did say this at the supporters meating. the problem is that signing him might feel a threat to coley if this season peters out. could depend on what dunny feels his future is. a lot of ex players have a go at management, get the sack and never try it again. if he does sign it would put bums on seats but who would you drop to accommodate him.

If Crooks lets his form slip, he could be the right man to fill in. I love Proccy and would happily see him slot in but it could be good to have options, especially with Dunny's experience.

Re: David Dunn

If he did sign, he & Proccy could do 45 mins each if neither were up to doing the full 90
