Not a great deal Jeff; couple of reasons like the business is on hold until the wife's cancer is sorted out and I'm having to fire fight creditors as well as look after my family's needs. Very much like a number of others in and around Accrington and beyond who I would suspect are struggling for various reasons and won't be making any investment other than tentative support.
I won't be buying into a 1 million pound share offer that is for sure; I would if I could Jeff; if I had it, I'd be pouring it in; I suspect hundreds of others would do the same; but like me, most working supporters will have more challenging and pressing financial priorities.
I tried to do the best I could during the SOS campaign; I paid my entry fee for the gate of all the post SOS home games even though I never left Bispham on those days; I made donations when I could, has I try to now with Rob's fantastic effort for Marie Curie. And; when I can I will return to the Clayton End and buy all the add on's I can afford.
Much as been said about a new home for the club, much as also been said about new sponsors coming on board; but I'm concerned that much of the promise of a new dawn for Stanley will be blighted by our not (the Club) holding on to our key assets; coley's good, he's fantastic in fact, best we have ever had: (my opinion) but like all those that have go before there comes a point when it becomes difficult to sustain the effort. It's not my money I know; but I had hoped that a substantial investment in retaining and strengthen last seasons team would have been made; in my mind this would have sent the right message out to potential investors and sponsors that would have allowed us to push for promotion again and all the potential financial benefits that could have seen the club becoming a viable investment.
Like I said Jeff; I won't be investing a great deal at all. I hope this answers your question, Can I ask you in return; will you be investing anything; as a supporter.
