Re: Deadline Day

off topic a bit but Sky Sports have Bury terminating Danny Carltons contract by mutual consent - in the same way that Fleetwood did Craney a favour. I wonder where he's going? Injury prone for the last season and a half but a belting player nonetheless (and one that Coleman has bid for in the past I believe)

Re: Deadline Day

seems coleys missed out on "Torres" must be the fact he wasn't a scouser?

Rather have Craney, who wants to play for our management duo, rather than for Abramovich's filthy lucre.

Re: Deadline Day

Two players signed on contract terms, another on a long-term loan and two more players extend their contracts until the end of the season.

And Jimmy Ryan is still a red.

What a great day to be a Stanley fan!

We're going to need a new thread just for who we think will go out on loan. Remember the days when we couldn't even fill the substitutes bench???

Re: Deadline Day

Good day. Must admit that the size of the squad (twenty-five on my count) makes me a little nervous, but knowing that we've come through the transfer window having kept our best players and added undoubted quality to the squad is great.

Best squad we've had since we returned to the league. Really looking forward to the rest of the season now.

Re: Deadline Day

There was a thread about the club MAYBE signing Mark Hughes from Nth Queensland Fury. Is this ago, or just a rumor? I watched (most of the game) him play against our Wellington Phoenix today and he was outstanding (still lost though ). What a great asset he would be. Defo a standout in a poor side.
