Sorry Cashy I sincerely hope he is wrong and very wrong - I want the team to re-sign not resign en masse - we would have no team apart from Craney

Re: Deadline Day
Whooo a snippet of a rumour in the Australian 442 magazine. At the bottom of the article about Cisak, which I think is the article from the LT recently, there is something about Mark Hughes

Re: Deadline Day
I sincerely hope Alex signs on again. Club and crowd favourite. Will play constantly at our club, whereas other clubs may just see him as a bit part keeper, which will do his Australia National team credentials no good whatsoever. The potential signing of Mark Hughes seems interesting. Obviously one JC and JB know about.

Re: Deadline Day
Good read.
Can only echo the statements with regards Cisak, he's the club number 1 and hopefully if he stays can have an ever bigger impact next season, doing his olympic chances no harm at all.
Interesting if we get Hughes, Coley has been a long term admirer as we all know, but seeing as he plays Center Half does that mean Hessey is out of the picture?? Hopefully not.
Also strong rumours Kevin Long is returning on loan next season.....
ahh aint it nice to talk about football again

Re: Deadline Day
Here goes, these are my predictions who will not be at Acci this season, Cisak,Jacobson,Ryan and Gornell.( and i will go for Proccy as an outsider),
Hope i am wrong, but these lads deserve to be tested at an higher level, but i have no doubt Coleman will unearth a few more diamonds,But its the keeper and centre forward who Acci will miss most,Along with Proccy, who is admired by numerous other teams.

Coming from someone with (insider?) knowledge, that is really, really bad news. Why can't someone come in for my little hero instead?

Re: Deadline Day
Just my opinion, but after remembering last season,(which i forgot about),Acci lost there two best players ( grant and symes) and two first team regulars (Kempo and Miles),Therefore i am not as confident as i was (sorry cashy ! ).
Thought Edwards may have gone last year,so thats why i have gone for Proccy as an outsider !!!.
Unfortunatley,I havent any inside info !!!,just me being a bit pessimistic as the season approaches (all part of being a football fan)

Re: Deadline Day
Proccy is a funny one for me. Historically he has only been courted by lower end, equally unfashionable clubs like ours. Macclesfield and a crap Rochdale team spring to mind. Its not that he isn't worth better but they have always been the type of club looking at him. I hope I'm not temptin fate here but I can't see a local lad, a player who has risen through three tiers of football, become club captain along the way, being tempted by such a move. I have a feeling that Proccy is amongst the better paid players here, and he has always been one of those who is in the favoured few who plays regardless of form. His last couple of years (certainly since being made captain) have been the making of him but it wasn't always like that.
I also think that 10% of his performance is pride and passion borne out of having been here so long and so highly thought of, and another 5% of his performance is as Captain. HE wouldn't be the same player anywhere else. Only my opinion though.
For what its worth I think he's a belter and deserves a chance at a bigger club.
