Deadline Day
So far the only news is that Razor and Parky have signed contract extensions until the end of the season, and that Coley is playing golf somewhere.

Re: Deadline Day
Don't forget the bit about the club being "hopeful of completing at least one more deal before the transfer deadline passes".
If it is Mark Hughes, rather than Godwin, how will Fulham feel about losing their manager?
Also - to show what a boring day it is for news today - the "Stat of the weekend" in the Times football pages refers to the fact that Bradford City are below us in the League "despite having an average attendance more than six times higher (10,779 to 1756)". I thought goals won games; how many do the crowd score in an average season?

Errr...I suspect that this is an oblique reference to the fact that crowds=revenue; revenue=financial resources; financial resources=buying players and paying them well.
No doubt that somewhere out there in cyberspace is an alternative league table which gives a standing based upon a ratio of points won/people through the gates and possibly one of points/average players salary. I'm sure that in both cases Stanley would top the league.
In either case, the motto can only be ' tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito'. That is another oblique reference; interpret it as you wish.

Or could it mean - since their resources swamp us but we're higher up the League than them - that they're a worse team than us?

Re: Deadline Day
Kevin Long is also back fer rest of season, about 1 week away from full fitness according to jimmy bell on fishy site, more good news as far as i'm concerned, think the second half of this seasons looking good to me.

Also Joe Jacobson on a permanent deal
Two very good signings

Re: Deadline Day
I have still to be fully 100% convinced by Long....personally prefer Hessey and Edwards at centre back although you can never have too many quality players in key positions
Jacobson is a quality signing....hopefully he kicks on from here and stays beyond this season.
Without a doubt the signing of the day is Razor. The lad oozes class. Lets hope he can have a decent rest of season to prove he's injury free and then signs long term.
Parky imo is a decent squad player but I'm not too excited about retaining him.
All in all good news. Here's to "backing the bid"

Re: Deadline Day
Well, I am well pleased with all those signings and Tom Smyth back from Workington - things can only get better in the second half of the season and in some respects, the club is more geared up to launching a bid for the play offs.

Re: Deadline Day
Longs quality and showed how good he was against cheltenham! Had a superb game before going of injured.
Glad ray has signed but didnt want parky at all.
Mark Hughes the defender is a good player, we was after him either last season or the season before :/. I remember jimmy bell at the fans forum mentioning him.
Hope Jimmy Ryan stays put please
