Re: Deal done

I think we'll be fine. With our low average gates I think we'll come out ok.
See what the Board / Owner thinks.

Re: Deal done

Well we have the lowest average league attendance and after 6 home games I reckon on gate receipt,s and all the other income that goes with it hospitality and so on its probably well over £400 thousand so with the £350 thousand and the other gate related grant we might possibly break even, along with maybe Fleetwood we could be the only 2 rest will probably still be out of pocket some by quite a lot typical Premiership don't give a toss about us really more pressurised into a token gesture.

Re: Deal done

Rochdale chairman David Bottommly has stated that the money will barely cover 2 months of his clubs income.

Re: Deal done

Some conditions attached to the grants if your club applies for them no spending in the January transfer window for league's 1 and 2, then next season maximum £20000 spend league 1 and £10000 league 2, also only allowed a free if a player leaves and replacement has to earn 75%less. Can't see many applications for the grant however hard up they are.

Hi Andyd, do the conditions you refer to above apply to ALL the bailout monies? Including the initial £375,000? Or any additional monies that clubs apply for after the initial sum?

No it,s only if they want to access the grant payment if they take it and then break any of the conditions attached they have to repay it in full, so presumably the bigger the club with more losses could be tempted but will limit their ambitions so it could be argued it would level the playing field for clubs like Accy if any took up the offer.

Re: Deal done

can imagine some teams owners burning the midnight oil to get the grant and then find out ways to avoid having to pay it back when they break the rules of receiving the money.
