Re: Ding Dong Dons

Shocker of a pass from Awe, nowhere near enough pace on the pass. MK much quicker than us in all areas of the pitch. Heres hoping for a better second half.

So, the stats I spotted suggested we are getting more competitive-are they lying or a true indication?

Wasn’t at the game but I think the answer is yes, KJ.
The stats from last night’s match suggest it, John Doolan believed it, and the “highlights” don’t deny it.
Seems it was reminiscent of the earlier games when Stanley competed but one mistake at the back or one missed chance cost a point or two.
Fine margins but I think they are getting more competitive.
Saturday will be an another test against a high scoring team.

Re: Ding Dong Dons

First time I've seen them live this season and I thought we deserved at least a draw, if not more. The defence looks solid, unfortunately mistakes like the one in the first minute are always going to happen from time to time. I thought we looked lightweight up front. Costelloe and Knowles were never going to get much from high balls played up to them and our crossing was awful until Walton came on. He made a great run to set up the goal and looked like a player who could really threaten defences. On the whole though, positive signs for the rest of the season.

Good to hear from a fan who was at the match (and, if you are indeed “lost” in Cornwall, well done for making the trip).
I noticed Hunter got a brief 15+ minute run out as a sub - did he make an impression on you?

Re: Ding Dong Dons

Moved from Cornwall a few years ago but haven't bothered to change the name. Can't say that Hunter made a great impression apart from a very late challenge for his yellow card.
