WM, your attitude to this is to be applauded...............genuinley, however, with all the 'untruths' that have come from our Chair and CEO in the past few weeks Im afraid that I,for one, cant bring myself to believe a word that they say anymore.
We have been assured that the Directors would be putting in £100,000 between them, yet even at this late stage it appears that this is yet another 'untruth'................unless it has escaped their notice, the money HAS to be CLEARED in HMRC's accounts BEFORE the court date.
As for 'popping in for a chat', I doubt very much that I would get straight and HONEST answers to any questions I would like to ask!
I remain VERY worried for the future of ASFC....................That said I would be ecstatic to be proved wrong, honestly

Re: Direct action
Rob Heys is a fan, first & foremost. He was a regular home & away stanley fan before I started going home & away. He will be at Accy Stanley long after he is Cheif Exec
The man was smiling this morning when I spoke to him! That'll do for me....

Re: Direct action
Furthermore....
The fans have done all they can.... if the unimaginable does happen, our loyal, proud fan base never let the club down!
Stanley fans have joined together in solidarity
The players & management have responded
And I think in the long run, the administration will have learned a lot from mistakes made in during the SOS campaign
Stanley Forever!!!!!!!!

Re: Direct action
"in the long run, the administration will have learned a lot from mistakes made in during the SOS campaign".
As much as I would like to believe this, I really dont think it will make one bit of difference in the future\ Nor do I think they care.
"We are hoping to make an announcement in the next 48 hours. People deserve to be reassured that everything is going to be okay."
(A prevarication (also called a lie), is a type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement, especially with the intention to deceive others ...!!!! ).

Re: Direct action
If Willie Miller, shurm and Katei77 can be told why don't they make a statement, I really can't believe how the last few weeks have gone regarding the top men (ignoring the top woman who appears invisible) and the way they appear to be handling the Google Page Ranking. I would love to pop in for a chat but I have to work although I don't see why I should have to when we have a website and the local media, no matter what the final outcome they have won no friends over this.

Sorry, WM, but I don't understand this at all. Are you suggesting that information can be given to individuals on a one-to-one basis but not to all other fans? Surely such information should be made generally known - or not divulged at all to anyone. For any organisation, it would be a bizarre way to manage information and the communication of information if it was given to a few individuals who happened to call into the office.

Someone surely relates to him the sense of genuine despair and disillusionment amongst the fans (possibly other than the chosen few). If they do not pass on this information, they certainly should do.
What it comes down to is abysmal management.

Re: Direct action
Don't see what's so bloody difficult about this Google Page Ranking lark. All the main players sit down together - The Don, Rob, Coley, Marcelle, if she's not too busy, then you thrash out what you're going to say to the press and, ultimately, the fans. Then one spokesman puts out a clear and simple statement.
What you do NOT do is have one club representative talking about buying the ground one day, then another club representative talking about having to sell players the next day. And what you NEVER EVER do is put out rash statements about making an announcement in the next 48 hours because "people deserve to be reassured." Then follow that up with six days of total silence with no explanation whatsoever, finally concluding with the club chairman refusing to comment.
The club need to sort this...and fast.

Superbly expressed. Such a pity that the DON doesn't look at the message board.

Re: Direct action
The setting and circumstance of the above image shall be repeated. The situation as I see it is beyond repair.
The massive debt that this club faces originates from Eric Whalley's ridiculous valuation on the club and therefore his failure to sell. Eric should've reacted to the team's success in the Conference and prepared to sell. He said on many occasions that he couldn't run a club in the Football League. He also said that the club had no debt. 2009 rolls around and Eric gets ready to jump ship as the authorities loom. Poor old David O'Neill gets lumbered with a club in masses of debt. Dave is clearly out of his depth and makes one truly terrible decision; he turns down the one chance to save the club. The offer he turned down was to pay off all debts that the club has and recapitalise it. He turned it down. Seriously. Now, even if he scrapes enough loans together to pay the tax man (which I'm sure he won't), he clearly can't run Accrington Stanley. The club will run at a loss due to its low attendances and lack of revenue aside from match days. The club needs constant injections of funds to keep its head above water. There aren't any sponsors knocking at the door and Dave hasn't got any more cash to put into the club. The fundraising ideas from the club have been few and far between; totally uninspiring for future income. I can't believe that there are some remnants of the 'Dave will sort it' attitude left around this place. It's actually sickening now.
If anybody can tell me that Accrington Stanley 1968 Ltd will still be playing football in Coca Cola League 2 after 24th October 2009, it'd be much appreciated. Stick some sort of logical reason to it and I'll be jumping for joy.
