Re: Discounted tickets for Cambridge?

erm someone could organise a kids surrporters group lol daft idea but with all the kids dat go stanley now (primary kids) they cud tell there mates about the lil macth day club. e.g macth days get a 10p carton and biscuits at half tym . try and get some seats reseverd for them and at christmas time get a christmas party and a chance to meet the players and also a 20% discount to the soccer schools run by stanley in the holidays. so them in like 5 years time ages off there will be groups of 15/16 year olds who will surrport stanley instead of burnley or blackburn.

"erm someone could organise a kids surrporters group"

tried it before but certain people involved weren't prepared to put in the time and effort they committed to.
if someone was prepared to take the job seriously im sure Junior Reds could start up again successfully

Re: Discounted tickets for Cambridge?

Good Idea friday night kick offs or even sunday. sould do this if we could every time blackurn and burnley are at home on the same day like wat happened with Altrincham in the FA Trophy A low Attendance. Saturdays attendance was better Because Burnley was away and rovers played at night thats probs one of the reasons for low gates becayse of people going to burnley and blackburn macthes.

Re: Discounted tickets for Cambridge?

we do need to target the kids and I think the club are doing that. I think though that we the fans need to target the disposable income age-group (of which I am no longer part of unfortunately), the 18-25 year olds. These people pay more, drink more, wear the brand, can travel away and make a bloody noise. Not a knock on the fans we have got but when you look at the Kipax photo's, the Ultra's look like a kids party. I wanna see more fella's in that behind the goal picture, big chaps, big noise etc.

We really need a concerted campaign with a poster. A half A4 flyer picture of the Halifax streamer with Coley's pic superimposed in the Lord Kitchener pose 'your town needs You' and then the next fixture printed underneath black on white. This then needs 2 of them putting up in every pub in the borough. One fan volunteers to poster say 4 pubs near to his/her house. Repeat until the area is covered, repeat every week. Do the workplace, do your local butty shop.

Where and how could we print and finance this. Does anybody know owt about the printing industry to get a cost on say 3000 every week. Does anybody know anyone who would sponsor this venture? Would the club contribute?

I know in the past we had the larger fixture posters in many newsagents, barbers etc. But, this time we need it to be exciting, show people what they are missing. The newspapers need to be saying that the Club are expecting a large crowd please arrive early, fill the back page with bulldust as well as the previous 31 pages.

Any more?

Re: Discounted tickets for Cambridge?

A group of fans could go asda in accrington if they will let them and have a sponsored fancy dress bag packing. My Old school managed it for a PE Trip to spain got lots of money out of it. just an idea a few ultras and the mascot(forgot the name) to help out and then with the money could go to the costs of publishin the leaflets in pubs and wat not. All that Takes is Asda To cooperate with there town team ...

Re: Discounted tickets for Cambridge?

Maybe The programme Publisher could help out a bit. they could also print a few stanley songs in the programme so all the fans know what the ultras are singing and askin more people to tell there mates about stanley .... e.g you tell one mate who then tells 5 mates who they then tell 5 of there mates and so on thats 30 new fans from just the 1 fan . Its a bit over the top but it could work.
