disgusted
disgusted 1
I heard some of Coleys comments on the radio today and was actually disgusted with what he said. I actually turned the radio off in a show of temper! Basically he had said that Mark Roberts and Robbie Williams had let the side down, played terribly and were making way too many mistakes far too regularly.
I agree that last night they were utter crap, but, Robbie Williams has been poor all season and Coley had actually changed the system to accomodate not dropping him. He has never come out and publicly criticised Williams despite this messageboard and the newspapers regularly bemoaning his constant selection. Mark Roberts has been reasonably good all season and certainly doesn't make regular goal costing mistakes like his 300+ game compadre. To name names and include Roberts after one terrible game is pretty unforgiveable to me and the lad will justifiably be upset with that. For Williams to get upset would be a travesty because he will know how bad a season he has had - he should be thinking about he can best put things right.
Knock the players to high hell in the dressing room, throw a few teacups, crack a few skulls, maybe even drop somebody Coley - but to publicly lynch them like that is out of order.
Disgusted 2
Graham Branch. Forget his crap performances week in week out because he has. What I am disgusted at was his language aimed at Sean Webb last night. After playing a needless 10 yard sideways pass far too slow that put Webb under enough pressure to ensure his aimless punt upfield went out of play, he then went on to remonstrate with him about trying to pass it out of defence, two minutes later I was walking off for my customary early haf time beer and I heard somebody shout "oi, d@#khead" I assumed it was one of the fans shouting at someone but it wasn't. It was Branch trying to rekindle his argument with Webb whilst the defence was trying to organise defending a corner.
Oi, d@#khead, enough already - on yer bike sonny.
Disgusted 3
That public spat between Branch and Webb set the tone for the rest of the game and there were at least four occasions last night where two players were raising there arms at one another. Grow up lads and show a bit of professionalism please.
Last nights events from every aspect of the club showed us for the shambles we are. Things are going to bite us on the arse very soon unless major changes are made throughout the club.
I have never heard booing like it at the FES (I left early on the Wrexham game), I have never heard the Ultras not sing the players off the field before but it was warranted. I have never felt so despondent as I do today having read the various threads whilst still feeling down anyway.

In the games I have seen this season (6 so far), Mark Roberts has been magnificent. Ignoring his resolute tackles and dominance in the air, at Hereford he was the only defensive player who tried to play football and find a midfield player when coming out of defence. We must also remember that being on the left side of the back three, he has had to cover for the tree (sorry, Branch) to his left when the latter has been on the field (I cannot use the word "playing").

Re: disgusted
What makes me laugh erm disgusted is that way too many times coley has blasted his players mistakes & poor quality - YET does he do owt about it....does he 'eckers like
Rocky will no doubt play on saturday & learnt nowt much either, coley does protest too much & does nothing, so doesn't inspire faith in the future matches that he's managing no matter how much he raves about it - Action speaks louder than words matey

Re: disgusted
Didn't hear Coley, but well responded Macca, and thanks for the full story on No. 17 (come in, your time's up).
I'll be jumping the Whinney Hill wall if he's picked again.

Re: disgusted
I think Jay Harris stands out because there are 2 players playing the same midfield role (him and Proctor are basically doing the same thing).
I'd look good in my job if there were two of us doing it.

Spot on.
he talks a tough game but selects his favourites time and time again.
it would be good for the team if williams, branch and proctor got dropped.

Re: disgusted
Various things wrong, time too to drop PM, Stanley are far too predictable evry opposing team knows what we are going to do every time they take the field. Why not have a change, give Denehey a chance on the wing play Roscoe up with Leighton something a bit different and maybe just maybe a surprise and give the opposition something to worry about for a f***in change.
I aint knocking PM but he has had his day, looks less than mobile to me and seems to be the only centre foward I have ever seen who plays with his back to go the entire game!!!
Williams needs to be 'rested' but wont be because Coleman has a fear of doing it for some reason, Keeper cant kick or command his area, Craney apart from one or two flashes has not been the same player since conference days, I was surprised somebody actually picked him up last season as he was not exactly playing out of his skin for us at the time, Rommy has lost confidence and looked better in the conference, No wingers to get at the defence = no service to Mr Mobile on his Zimmer, incorrect formation and players playing out of position in it!!! ohhhh, the list is endless really
Coleman needs some help from somewhere, somebody with a few contacts and years of league experience, out of his depth.

Re: disgusted
I don't think the problem is with Paul Mullin. As we all know Paul has never been the quickest but he is a great goal poacher who needs supply from the wings. Remember the days of Mark Shirley, Russ Payne, Dean Calcutt, Rory Prendergast and Gary Roberts. These guy have set hatfuls of goals up for Mullin in the past. Mullin is a good striker but like all strikers he needs service and in the whole squad we don't have one out and out winger who can beat a man and get a cross in. I hate to say it but look who was sat on the Rochdale bench for the full 90 minutes on Wednesday, What would we give for a player of his quality in our side now ??
Even though I am reeling from the Rochdale result/performance we still have to be realistic about where we are now and how far the club have come. Over the last 5 years we have done amazingly well. Alot of new faces on the terraces over the last few years which has come from success but we are now going through abit of a slump and people are shouting for Colemans head and changes etc..
We are still 14th in the league, 9 points above the relegation zone after 18 games and if you had of offered me that before the start of the season I would of taken it.
So come on lads, Lets pick ourselves up get our belief back and start playing like we all know we can. Wear the shirts with pride and passion.
The lads on the terraces sing there hearts out but we need 11 hearts on the field..
See you all at MK

Re: disgusted
Just spotted this on the LET website:
East Lancashire's daily newspaper. Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley & Ros
JC is effectively saying if the players continue to fail, he'll be looking to ship some out in January. Two things spring to mind:
1) Haven't we heard this before?
2) Where else, exactly, does he expect our underperforming players to go? I can't imagine a queue of eager managers outside the FES on the first day of the transfer window...
Am coming back up North over Christmas and was thinking of taking in the Shrewsbury game. Given what everyone has said about the Rochdale debacle, I think I'll see what you guys made of the Chesterfield game first, might have a lie-in and set off later instead...

Re: disgusted
Yes bedsred, he's said it many a time before like a stuck record after reading observer, january, then end of season, then start of season, next transfer window opening, blah de blah. TBH i need much more convincing than that as do i think most fans now. JC has blamed the players before, then it was fans but no proper blame on the real reason which is he hasn't taken charge, he hasn't blamed his tactical decisions or lack of, he puts the players on the darn pitch knowing that they aren't up to the measure as we have been saying from the stands for a while now & listened not.

Exactly (as they apparently say in Liverpool). We have non-league support, non-league finances (i.e. not in debt 'cos nobody will lend us money) and according to you guys who have the privilege (?) of watching every week, mostly non-league players. But we're still sitting (reasonably) comfortably in mid-table in League 2 with a lot of "big" clubs below us. And this has been achieved by a manager who's out of his depth, useless, lost the plot, tactically naive etc etc etc ? Doesn't add up, does it ?
Keep the faith, through gritted teeth if necessary.

Re: disgusted
Erm u would have a point chimer, no one is denying that Coley & co have brought us to the league & we are hanging in there just but the fact that fans are paying their money into our gates & that season ticket holders have paid up theirs in advance expect at least some effort on the pitch its more than dis-heartening to watch drivel every home match draining hope in your heart for them, even more so when revenue is important for the club as is the support. Think thats the bone of contention for many.
