I an not 100% sure but I think the gate is split?
I think just in terms of giving the whole Town a lift and getting behind the team it would probably be better at Home?
But if it were too be away it could be the largest away support ever for Stanley?
Plus the fact if it was too be televised it could put Stanley back in the media spotlight and add a "feel good factor" !

Yes but at least we could have another mucky weekend away in some dodgy hotel with Mr and Mrs Fawlty

I'm not sure and could be completely wrong but, I think with the FA Cup the gate money is split 3 ways between the 2 teams and the FA itself.
Could be wrong though

No you'right, sort of. Fa get 5% for their pool, rest of net receipts split between clubs. There's a 22 page breakdown @ http://www.thefa.com/NR/rdonlyres/B5...pRules0607.PDF Item 22 for gate receipts.
I'm still hoping for two wins and then a premiership team (away) in 3rd and subsequent rounds. Let's win it the hard way.

Re: Draw For the 1st Round of the F.A. Cup
I'd like a home draw, against a side who we can beat (preferably non league) with the oppertunity to progress to the third round and hopefully draw any one of the big premier league teams away.( I'd prefer Man U-forget the stuffing we may get, with 70,000 in the place it would generate some coin !!) After all, the cup run of a few years ago gave the club the platform to go full time and onto the success we've achieved since!!

Re: Draw For the 1st Round of the F.A. Cup
On the other hand, there are teams like former World Cup winners, West Auckland, still in the competition. Last time we played them away in a cup competition there was a crowd of about 80 - and we lost!

After a replay at their place, Mike.

Re: Draw For the 1st Round of the F.A. Cup
Sorry, West Auckland got knocked out 5-1 by Bamber Bridge in a 3rd Qualifying Round replay - so we won't be meeting them! The final 4th Qual Round line-up is at TheFA.com - FA Cup Fixtures. Rushall Olympic isn't too far for me!!

I'd be worried about the geography expert at the FA if he/she managed to get them in the Northern section of the draw

Re: Draw For the 1st Round of the F.A. Cup
absolutely no Conference teams please. But Barrow would be fine. Failing that one of the bigger League 1 teams. I suppose Leeds would be everybody's plum draw and I am no exception. Away from home please and lets see how many buses we can fill

Is it still regional? Looking at some of last year's ties (Weymouth v Bury and Exeter v Stockport), possibly it isn't any more. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!!
