Hardly running and would take two minutes. No rumours then just hard fact.

They kneww months ago that they would not be building a roof. We argued the toss amongst ourselves anyway and the feeling became a little stronger that we want a roof. Answered straight away there would never have been any furore or fuss over it.

There is an old saying that goes ... politeness costs nothing.
Neither does information.

If the club knows something they should announce it there and then, not the week after.
Banners haven't been mentioned mate. It was a april fools wind up. The drums being banned is the rumour, apparently Rob told the residents in a meeting that the drums would be banned as of next season, to uproarious applause too I'm told.

Drums banned.. see official website...

Smells a bit to me...

If you buy a house next to a football ground then you have no right to complain. Just my opinion of course

Re: Drums

I fully agree kipax,
If the residents would like to move away from a football ground I would like to offer my house in exchange for one nearer to the ground.

Re: Drums

in short, the football club have asked that drums aren't used in the ground from now on to ensure that we can maintain good relations with our neighbours. banners certainly aren't banned...

Re: Drums

Unfortunately I'm a Livingstone resident. I go to all the games, have done since I was about 12 and never once have I complained about any noise or traffic etc. I know one resident goes to games, he too is ok - its just one or two of the others who never go to games, have moved in in the past 10 years or so who cause nothing but hassel for the club.

Re: Drums

Yes, those are the ones Im talking about. If you live on Livingstone Road and haven't complained then fair play to you. In fact you have one of the best places going when it comes to match day . But as Kisser has just said, these people don't even go. They are just moaning for no reason...

PS: If these people pay for a new roof, then we'll happilly not bring the drum

To maintain good relations with the residents would all supporters please refrain from cheering when Stanley score a goal because this would make more noise than any drum

Re: Drums

To be fair, the drum is a pain. The constant thumping is enough to drive anyone insane. I personally would be pleased to see it banned and if I was a non-football supporting resident, I would prefer not to have my evenings and weekends ruined by this migraine inducing ear abuse.

I believe the club has acted responsibly in this matter, as the support of local residents will be essential for further development.

Re: Drums

eeerm I have allways said I hate the drum.... The game was so bad at Kiddy on sat i was gonna pack the camera up and go stand wiht my mates.. but the drum put me off..

however its a football match and I know I have to put up with it.. I ahve the choice to stay as far away from it as I can... The people in the houses knew they where moving in next to a football ground.. so Allthough I have never been a fan of it (as i have stated on here before).. I wouldnt have tried to stop it.. thats the difference
