Re: east fife today

He's from Dundee. That's all you need to know!

Didn't fully see the initial incident but it did look like your Evil went in with the head and it was probably the wrong player in our side to do that to! Smarty then smacked him in the face (as you can see from Kipax's excellent pic). Both would probably have gone in a league game.

Any chance of using that pic on AFTN Kipax, as it's a cracker for our front page! Will give you full credit naturally.

Re: east fife today

I have the frames before it where your player went for him.. then he went in with head and then this... then more after... You can use that with pleasure.. all the pics will be an hour yet... Got some great shots of your goalkeeper who seems to have one eye bigger than the other

Your number 3 is a nutcase... first five minutes of the game he spent telling the lino to shut the f up... the lino told him to shut the f up and he said no you shut the f up.. it went on and on like that until he ran to the ref and said.. your lino just told me to shut the f up hahaha

Re: east fife today

East Fife had some of the biggest defenders I have ever seen... They dwarfed some of our lads... Im sure they loaned them from a local rugby club!! They were HUGE!!!!... or maybe they just eat lots of Porridge Groaan!! Sorry!!

I enjoyed the trip to Scotland...Had a look around a few little towns, Leven, Kircaldy and Methil before the match and even managed a walk on the beach.

GoF

If that was a friendly what sort of carnage and mayhem happens in competitive games?

Thumbs up Re: east fife today

You need a bit of bite in the Scottish 3rd though

I don't think we're putting together too tough a team though (ignore the fact that two of our strikers and our manager have assault charges and court cases against them recently!), and we do have some good passing players in the team now.

Smarty does have a bit of short fuse sometimes, but is the most fired up player I've ever seen and we need that at our level.

I do have to say that the tackle our right back did on your guy towards the end was pretty bad for a friendly.

We do seem to have gone for some pretty big defenders this year though. The jury's out on our number 3 though as he came from our big rivals Raith Rovers and told their fans before he left that he's only coming to us for the money (we're paying big bucks this year - equivalent to lower Premier League teams in some case apparently).

The official EF site has put up the Stanley team for today now and they say it was:

Dubavin [Arthur 45], Cavanagh, Richardson, Roberts, Procter, Whalley, Edwards, Carden , Branch [Boco 45], Mullan [McGivern 45], Brown [McEvilly 45, Dsane 86].

Cheers for letting me use the pic Kipax. It's on our front page now.

frame one is best when they look like they are about starting ring-a-ring-a-roses or summat!

Re: east fife today

Nice set of pictures, Kipax. Their Goalie's facial expressions are a tad worrying.

The Unofficial East Fife website is full of good stuff. Particularly liked the Song section, "We all dream of a team of Johnny Smarts", (Evil's dance partner) is good; but, for succinctness, you can't beat "The Gretna Chant".

Thanks to the East Fife fans who've posted on here, good luck for the season.

Re: east fife today

Enjoyed the game. Stanley were a different team in the second half after looking very toothless up front in the first 45. Boco seems like a player!

On the McEvilly thing, it looked like the ref booked them both, then as they were walking away your guy seemed to be suggesting they continue the discussion outside later, at which point the ref called them both back for another severe talking to. And then he got replaced by the goalie, which was probably a very good idea.

nail hit head ! its a bigger thing for all 3 teams stanley played not to get beat by stanley than what it is for stanley not to get beat by them....
why did coleman go for such weak/part time/low league/less than average teams to play ?
