Re: Elliot to leave

TOO TRUE

Penny pinchin rsoles haven`t been paying him.

Rob is ****ed off

How on earth can they afford to let talent like that go ?

It all seems like one way traffic at the Mo

He just won us a few grand last night yet they won`t pay him

Hope someone`s got some plans

Best of luck Rob, and thankyou .

Re: Elliot to leave

Although I will be sorry to see Rob go we have to look at things realistically. We have more than enough keepers on the books at the moment and not enough strikers. Maybe we had to release a keeper to cut the wage bill in order to bring in a striker. Remember Clubs are capped as to how much they can spend on players (65% of previous year's turnover I think) so if we are nearing our limit we have to let players go in order to pay others.

Re: Elliot to leave

jeff you speak sense!!! you really do!!!
i'm just frustrated at the moment and i do wonder wether or not that Robbie not being from Liverpool has anything to do with his deselection this year!!!
I know that he was injured but i think coley and the club owed him a bit more than a plastic seat!!!
it's similar to the J.K. scenario

Re: Elliot to leave

Hows Jeff Right IF!! Its true that the club dont pay him, how would we have to let him go because he wont be part of the wage cap??

When Will People realize you DONT have to be from liverpool to get in the side??!!

Whos the first player on the team sheet if we have a full team to select from?? PAUL MULLIN!!!

Re: Elliot to leave

elliot leaving is a massive, massive loss. despite dunbavin saving some games for us this season, elliot is clearly the better keeper, especially when dealing with balls in the air. he should have come back into the team when he regained full fitness.

on a related topic, i see aaron mcclean has gone on loan to peterborough, with a view to a permanent move. reading yesterday's news on mcclean (that alot of clubs were after him) it aint suprising we didnt get him. but everybody else seems to be loaning strikers except us-what's going on? does coley really think brown and mangan are good enough?!

Re: Elliot to leave

There's a mention of this in the Accy Observer match report: Accrington Observer- Accrington Stanley 4 Blackpool 4 (Stanley win 4-2 on pens).

Just when we were thinking Rob might get a start at Peterborough. I hope he stays.

Re: Elliot to leave

Robbie is too good to sit on our bench but i can see where Coley is coming from in keeping our OWN player in the side

onto bigger and better things i guess robbie, good luck.
