F.A Cup draw

1st round draw at 7pm tonight - we're ball no. 1, my bet's on getting Tranmere away (again!)

Re: F.A Cup draw

Away @ Rushall/Peterborough Sports.

I suppose there's a chance of it being televised.

You'll only be able to play for Rushall Olympic or Peterborough Sports

Rushall Olympic or Peterborough Sports - who are they?

Could there be a bigger banana skin?

Ler's hope Rushall get through tonight....it looks an easier away trip about 2 hours by road near Walsall....Peterborough is more like 3 hours 20mins on the other side of the country....

If Rushall get through, would the local police want us to play at the same time as Walsall are hosting Bolton Wanderers just down the road?

Re: F.A Cup draw

Beats me how a team from Peterborough are in National League North, Walsall is pushing it but Peterborough is definitely in the south surely

The two are almost dead level and there is no Midlands league.

It doesn't matter where the club is located, if there are 24 more southern clubs in the 48 you end up in the north, and the most northern of the Southern is Bath, so it is a low bar.

When Stanley were in the NPL there were 3 leagues, Beazer Homes and Isthmian, and teams on the borders got shuffled between leagues depending who got promoted and relegated.

Just be glad it wasn’t Hereford, Brockley, King’s Lynn or Oxford City which are all in the “northern” league!
It’s also a matter of context. When I was a nipper, folk in Carlisle used to consider the “south” started at Cheshire.

Great point, that could mean that the biggest game gets moved for TV

Re: F.A Cup draw

55.8% chance Peterbro and 44.2% Rushall.

Homes crowds so far in the cups of just over 300 and 800 for Rushall and 200 for Pb in a replay.

I doubt the police will be concerned.

5 TV games last year this round:

FRIDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2023
• Sheppey United v Walsall at 7.45pm GMT on ITV4 and ITVX

SATURDAY 4 NOVEMBER 2023
• Bromley v Blackpool at 5.45pm GMT on BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport

SUNDAY 5 NOVEMBER 2023
• Chesterfield v Portsmouth at 12.15pm GMT on ITV1, UTV, STV and ITVX
• Crewe Alexandra v Derby County at 2.45pm GMT on ITVX
• Charlton Athletic v Cray Valley (PM) at 5.30pm GMT on BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport

Re: F.A Cup draw

Tonight's Peterborough Sports v Rushall Olympic is live online on BBC WM:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_wm

There's currently pre-match build up online.

Rushall won a league game there 2-0 just 10 days ago, and had a crowd of around 800 on Saturday.
