FA Cup Round 2 Old Boys

Did anyone else count up the Stanley Old Boys on last night's ITV programme with Round 2 highlights?

First up - Andy Mangan, who was clean through after less than 6 seconds and patently hadn't a clue what to do with the ball. He missed a couple more, then had a vaguely decent header saved. By then it was too late - they were winning anyway!

Kallum Higginbotham started for Rochdale (subbed), and Terry Gornell played for Tranmere as a 71st minute sub. Godwin Antwi was an unused sub.

Andy Todd started for Eastwood Town; the highlights showed him once - missed the goal by the width of the pitch.

Finally - but spectacularly - Roscoe D'Sane - sent off for a bit of apparent naughtiness involving slapping the visitors' keeper!

I'd like Gornell back, and maybe Higginbotham; jury's still out on the others!

Darren Kempson played for Forest Green and wasn't the FG goalscorer Jonathon Smith ex Stanley ?

Didn't he also lay on the 2nd goal for Eastwood?

Don't forget Steve Halford's Droylsden who were beating Chesterfield 1-0 away at half-time before the match was abandoned. Droylsden's goalie, Craig Mawson, has played against us a number of times.

Congratulations to Hacker whose 82nd minute equaliser means that Chesterfield will have to face a replay at Droylesden next week.

I still remember the goal against Burscough like it was yesterday, hadn't won an away game in months, set us on a roll to the conference. Happy days.
