Fa youth cup

Congratulations to the Youth Team on beating Carlisle on Wednesday in the 1st Rd, Carlisle hit the woodwork three times but overall the Stanley boys fully deserved their win.
2nd rd is away to Ilkeston with the winners at home to WEST HAM, if there was ever an incentive there it is !

Well Done
MikeA, DAV007 and smobile like this.

Re: Fa youth cup

For my sins I went to the game last night and to be fair Ilkerston were the better team in the first half.
In the second half we played a higher line and grew into the game.
Players who caught my eye were the two centre backs, the centre forward(max?),Mahoney and the jp kissock look alike !!.
It was a good result and there team were obviously second year yts, with Acci playing quite a few 16 year olds.
Definitely watch them again as it was hard to judge them on a freezing/tricky surface.
Ps lot of prem scouts there, can't see Mahoney being here for long,he needs to be challenging himself at an higher level, not second division

F19 much respect sir for making the journey!!

Young goalscorer is Nathan Webb only 16.

All the other lads are real honest lads. As said more scouts than paying punters!!

Ilkeston were worth watching!

Was he just a look-a-like or also a play-a-like? Saw Kissock's debut at Stanley and always thought he was destined for better things. Maybe he will still make an impact? Is he still with Macclesfield?

Re: Fa youth cup

The look a like was our goal scorer !!!,for a 16 year old he did really well.
Known jp since he was about 10,and lost his way a little after being touted as the next Rooney at Everton.
Mr T,who was our right back?,thought he did well against a very good left winger,he looked about 12 years old !!

No 2 on the team sheet was Daniel Wolfenden.

I'll leave some team sheets in the shop if people want to collect them on Saturday

Don't think the date has been decided yet, I think that's the date it has to be completed by.

One idea I heard that makes sense is there is a blank date for Stanley first team on Dec 7th, if you put a game on at the ground with a premier league club surely that's better than Christmas shopping

Re: Fa youth cup

The ties have to be played by 21st December, unless approval is gained by the FA Council. Alternative dates can be mutally agreed.
