Fancy a trip to preston's football museum?

As mentioned in another thread on behalf of the OSC and the planning for the Stanley exhibition through funding from the lottery heritage fund we are arranging a trip to deepdale to the football museum.

Date has been set for Saturday 20th October as there is no stanley match and preston are playing away.

More travel and time details to follow

However, anyone who would be interested in going please pm me or Gayle on here. Please leave contact details.

If you would like to come along all we will ask for in return is that you fill in a small questionnaire on what you think about the museum to give us an idea on what does/doesn't work for our future exhibition

Re: Fancy a trip to preston's football museum?

The museum is a brilliant momento of football thru the ages. Great to see Stanleys early involvement in the league walk of fame on the lower floor. For fun there is a computer penalty shoot out on the first floor, small charge for 3 shots, see who can get the highest score on the day. Sadly will be involved elsewhere on the day but from my last trip can say will keep all enthralled for a good two to three hours to see all the various exhibits. Enjoy.

I haven't had any PMs yet - is anyone interested - remember you can bring your friends/partners/children etc. It could be a good day out for everyone.

It's free for the coach and free to get in so all you need to do is sort yourself out with a sandwich or something.

The more people who come the better contributions that we can get to the project.

Are you picking up just in Accrington or is there a chance of other pick up points?

It will more than likely be just accrington, but I am sure arrangements could be made for non drivers just out the area to be picked up..I know I wouldn't mind picking anyone up who might want to go

Re: Fancy a trip to preston's football museum?

Pick up will be 11:00am and collect from Preston will be 2:30. Pick-up/drop off point to be confirmed yet but more than likely in Accrington centre to make it easier for everybody.

Please remember that this is a free trip for everybody, the only thing we will ask of you is that you fill in the brief questionnaire afterwards. Please send your PM to Gayle to book your seats for yourselves, partners and kids/grandkids. The advert should be in the Observer on friday where it will be thrown open to the public. So lets get the Stanley lot on first eh? This is an OSC trip and is what you pay yer dues for! (but non-members more than welcome!)

After last night can we bring it forward a day to Friday night then we don't have to watch the Macclesfield game.
