Fans from Norway - need some help from the locals!

Hello there!

My friend and I are traveling from Norway this friday to watch the game against Notts County, but we have never been to Accrington before, so we could really need some advice on transportation and hotels in the surrounding area

In short, we would really like to know:

How to get from London to Accrington as quickly as possible :P
If there are any nice hotels near crown ground
And of course: Where we can but supporter equipment for the match!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Train to Preston then Preston to Accrington

If there are any nice hotels near crown ground

Right across the road from the ground
Norwood
349 Whalley Road
Accrington,

Get Directions

01254 398 132

And of course: Where we can but supporter equipment for the match!

Club shop at the ground, open from 10:30 I think

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never used Norwood but have heard good reports about it

If you want Nice but expensive then you have the
Dunkenhaulgh Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa: Hotel reservation with Mercure in BLACKBURN
And
Sparth House Sparth House Hotel - Clayton le Moors, Lancashire

Thanks a lot for the replies! I guess we'll figure it out when we get there. That's half the fun anyway...

And I'm shocked I forgot to ask about local pubs! We wouldn't want to visit england without soaking in some of that great pub atmosphere

the only thing you need to know are the words to the two Norwegian Stanley anthems

"Andy Procter walks on water na na na na na na na nah!"

and the Sammi Song - Joik see

Thanks! We'll be making a mini-documentary, so Peel Park is definitely something we don't want to miss.

As for the anthems, I'm already singing them out loud. Which is quite interesting as I don't really know the melodies :P

Haha. You're right! I just watched the youtube video.

I suppose you guys wouldn't mind me bringing a freshly made Accrington anthem based on the Alexander Rybak winning entry, Fairytale?

Dont forget to get into the CLAYTON END, with the flags, drum and superb atmosphere!! At this time of the year hotels shouldnt be fully booked however im when you get into accrington someone will point you in the right way and the stanley fan will help you in finding and directing you to a hotel, food, pubs etc.

Have fun with the journey
