Female referee
What did everyone make of having a female referee for the Halifax game last night? I thought she was excellent.
She certainly kept the players in check, and was I hearing things when one of the player's reactions to a decision against him was "Ref, please, ref, please!". A bit like a little schoolboy talking to his primary school mistress. "Miss, please, Miss, please!"
Did any player swear?

Re: Female referee
[QUOTE]I thought she was excellent.
i would'nt go that far but she was not the worst. the women where i was stood were not in favour of her though.
now this taboo has been broken i want some good looking women on there.
abi titmuss as ref, with jordan and jodie marsh as liners, that'd get the gates up.

Re: Female referee
I also thought she wasnt very good but come on giver her credit where it is needed she (in a male dominated sport) came out and give it her all but unforntunatly this wasent good enough but we cant blame the result on her i aslo thought stanley werent very good we seemed to lack that flowing movement we had against barnet but still second and dreaming of that ever so possible football league!

Re: Female referee
John .. Are you on a different page to everyone else?
What are you talking about we cant blame the result on her? WHAT! it was a brilliant result considering we where outplayed all night... Everyone agrees they where the better team and we nicked the point..... So how do you come up with... can't blame her?
As for giving her credit? WHY? If she was crap then she was crap... Do you think she would accept the excuse that its OK to be bad at her job because she is a woman? It would be a brave person to say that to her face I suspect.

Re: Female referee
If she's competing in a man's world then she should be up to the same standard. Can't go having a different attitude just because she's a woman.

Re: Female referee
Gobsmacked - gotta say she was a damn sight better than some of the dross we have had in black in the middle, Do agree with others, she probably took too long after being conned by Halifax player for half the night before booking 3 of their players. but overall, I thought she handled the game reasonably well, shame about the liner on the whinney hill side, couldn't get an offside decision right for toffee.

Re: Female referee
Thought she started off OK but got worse as the game went on, although she certainly wasn't the worst ref we've had she totally missed a blatant hand ball in the area & should have sent off whoever it was who felled Paul Mullin.

Re: Female referee
i thought she was terrible!! she couldent keep up with the game at all. both benches agreed that she was not up to the standerd of refereeing in the conference..
she missed a definate sending off for the foul on mullers and wot i thought was a clear handball for a penalty!!!
