Re: floodlights

Me and Alan Smith painted the bottom of the floodlights with anti vandal stuff to stop people climbing up them... That was last seaon I think.. It still works... Now if they want owt doing with the floodlights they get the fire brigade out..

Re: floodlights

The club are aware of the problem BUT are awaiting help from Phillips (the lighting people) to source the parts. (various technical probs)

However if you want to contribute towards the likely high costs i'm sure if you contact Rob no sensible offer will be refused.

Also due to H&S regulations a safe method of changing the bulbs (eg: the fire brigade) must be used.

Re: floodlights

As a Fire Service (not Brigade please) operative, How much do they charge for fixing said bulb? By my reckoning, should be about £400 per hour or part thereof. Makes for a very expensive bulb.

Re: floodlights

Come on ! This is ASFC after all.

Obviously a "Sport and Local Services Liaising Within The Community" initiative in conjunction with Hyndburn Council.

Cost : Nil ?

Unfortunately it can only be got away with on an occasional basis

Nearly forgot . . . it's not just the bulb - there's a junction box to be dealt with as well , so only sparkies with a head for heights need apply.

Wow ! I've just noticed how light the evenings are getting , too !
