Fola Onibuje Leaves
FROM FISHY SITE Fola Onibuje leaves
Striker Fola Onibuje has become the first player to leave this season, departing this week by mutual consent.
The 23 year old was signed on non-contract terms at the start of the season and has made five substitute appearances in Football League games, together with one start against Tranmere in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Shame thought he could do a job for the reds

Re: Fola Onibuje Leaves
He's never managed to 'do a job' anywhere else, so it's not that surprising really.

Re: Fola Onibuje Leaves
I did think that he and David Worrall livened up the last 3 minutes against Notts County, and now they're both gone. Mind you, you've got to wonder about someone of his age who's played at / for 11 teams ..........

Now that is a tiny bit cynical Cashy !...about one who I believe was not a bad Rhythm and Blues singer, always had a cheery smile for everyone, and is good to his Mother in the bargain!.
It's a comment like this that might possibly prevent Chairmen and Managers from other misguided Football clubs to enlist his services in the future...
I'm sure that in your heart of hearts you will join me in wishing Fola.... Auf Wiedersehen!...Sayonara!..Au Revoir!.....Bon Chance!...and the rest !!.
Alfred.E. and I will see you on Sunday..(God willing!!)

Re: Fola Onibuje Leaves
Usual story - never got a decent chance to impress. Why on earth did we take him on? Can't for the life of me see why we don't give one of the former academy lads a go up front - at least they seem dynamic, know where the goal is and have a decent shot on 'em, which is more than can be said for any of our current forwards. I was nearly weeping at Darlo watching our complete lack of penetration up front.

Maybe so Beast, but are there not more worrying Omens to consider ?...like the obvious absense of a 'winning' mentality in the performance of many of the current squad....
Like JC (as quoted by JB!) telling the players, at this early stage in the season, that if they don't want to play for the Reds then the'll be on their way!!. ...Like many instances, reported regularly on our Forum, of the continuing lack of style and service which one would expect to see as a supporter of a Football League Club!.
I am not being flippant when I suggest that a strong shot of Motivational and other formats of Psychological Therapy for all concerned would not be a waste of some portion of the 'Craney Windfall'!, as opposed to the philosophy of the 'anything will do' which seems to guide much of the organisational behaviour at the FES !.
Like many contributors to the Forum, I despair at the constant state of flux in which our Club finds itself..Let's hope that someone will wake up and guide it towards a
position of all-round stability. Without this the Status Quo of apathy will persist, and as we all know this can only result in failure.
Sorry to echo the Jeremaic message of 'The writing is on the wall' again...but I have cared about and respected Accrington Stanley for so many years now, that I find it difficult to accept that things can not be improved with the application of some skill, thought, and application !
On a brighter note....'ON STANLEY!...ON!'
Alfred.E. is merely adding his bit by singing (off-key of course!)....'THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER !!'
