Blackburn Rovers ace Conor Mahoney is close to completing a move to Nottingham Forest, according to a source cited by the*Nottingham Post.
The source “close to the deal” claims personal terms have been agreed between Mahoney’s representatives and Forest, and that he is set to undergo a medical at the club.
The 20-year-old right-sided attacker’s contract at Ewood Park runs out this summer, meaning he can join the East Midlands club on a free transfer.
It is said that Forest will be due to pay compensation fee to Blackburn because Mahoney is under the age of 24, but that is the only factor standing in the way of the deal being completed.
This comes after*HITC Sport*reported that Forest were interested in signing the 20-year-old forward.
Meanwhile, a*Daily Mail*report claimed Celtic were ready to rival the City Ground club in the race to secure his services.

However, he shone for the club’s Under-23s outfit, bagging four goals in 11 Premier League 2 appearances, as well as providing two assists.
The 20-year-old joined Blackburn in late 2013 from Accrington Stanley, and he has since played 57 league and cup games for the club’s Under-23s. Plus Wolves are interested QUESTION is will there be a sell on fee coming to Stanley
