Fortress Crown
As the games continue to come thick & fast, tomorrow we welcome Top of the Table Rochdale closely followed by Barnet.
I am aware of how big a part the Ultras play in creating a unique and superb atmosphere for the Reds both at home & away games, as well as probably playing twelfth man in helping them pick Stanley up , help Stanley raise their game and even help lift the players spirits at times.
I have noticed it more this season with the games & grounds I have visited as a fan and as a neutral, for example Tuesday's game against The Millers when they equalised, I must admit my first reaction was "Oh no we have shot ourselves in the foot again", but the more the Ultras turned up the volume, the more passion rose within me and blood began pumping through my veins that bit quicker resulting in me urging forward the Reds more than perhaps I would have normally done.
The same thing happened at Anfield last night with the other Reds, one down from the first leg and facing a well organised team and a patriotic following of 2000 screaming Lille fans who again were passionate and a wall of press who were already penning thier how the mighty have fallen scripts, but that was all blown away by the electric atmosphere started in the Kop that quickly engulfed the rest of the ground including where we were sat in the Anfield Road End in a matter of seconds and lifted the spirits of the team and quietened the away following which I think ultimately helped push Liverpool on to a comfortable victory in the end.
So what is my point in all this, my point is that the twelfth man really does exsist and can help make the difference as we enter the business end of the Season.
We all have a part to play no matter how small as we try to help to keep the Stanley moving upwards and into the play-offs our home form could be the key to that come the end of the season.
Let's all help make the Crown a Fortress
Be Loud, Be Proud, This is Our Club, Our Crest, Our Lives
On Stanley On

Re: Fortress Crown
I agree Google Page Ranking, lose your inhibitions for 90 minutes & back the lads whether Ultra (for 90 constant) or elsewhere with sporadic singing & encouragement..... We are in this fight for promotion TOGETHER......

Re: Fortress Crown
if you aren't a singer then be a shouter! make it HOSTILE, make it ELECTRIC, make it so their full backs don't want to go anywhere near the touchlines. Shout yerselves hoarse (it's a good excuse not to talk to the Mister or missus on Sunday!

Re: Fortress Crown
.. and I've also noticed there are numerous singers all the way along the Clayton End who kinda sing but feel daft because nobody around them is singing. If you are one of those please consider moving closer to the middle - you'll not feel daft at all in there! But if there is someone near you singing and you compelled to join them then let it out!!!!!!!!!
I dream of the day that the Clayton End is packed out for run of the mill games (not that tomorrow is) and the singing reaches from corner flag to corner flag, a deafening wall of inspiration raining down on the Redmen.
Stanley fans have won plaudits from QPR, Oldham, Stoke City, Walsall, Barnet twice, Notts County, Leeds, Rotherham, Rochdale, Bury, Morecambe, Torquay ...... for the relentless noise that is audibly generated by so few for so long. The Ultra model that we have is coveted by many and is fast becoming the yardstick by which many lower league fans measure themselves (read around the boards after games), imagine how much more impressed they'd be if we could just simply double the numbers . Away from home 20 becomes 40 and at home 50 becomes 100 - more than acheivable numbers and as Google Page Ranking says, it might just be the difference between play offs and 8th place
