Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
Fraser Eagle everything by the sounds of it!
Good on em though - certainly putting their money where their mouth is. If they want to pay to have their name plastered all over the club thats fine by me Well done Fraser Eagle for (what sounds like) your huge support of your local club! Setting a great example to other local businesses..

Seeing as Mr Charnley is a director of the club then I'm sure he will continue as he as been.

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
It took me ages to stop calling it "The Crown Ground"

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
It'll always be affectionately known as the Crown Ground but I like the sound of the Fraser Eagle Stadium, it has a certain ring to it

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
I realise now Kipax its business. My previous reaction was shock more than anything else I think. Dont get me wrong - I still dont agree with being able to buy the name of the ground but if someone wants to give the club a shed load of dosh to do it, who am I to complain? It will always be the Crown to me (and a few others)..
Of course its worth asking about Mr Charnley - it does say on the news that the club will still be working closely with Interlink so I would imagine Mr Charnley will still be involved... hope so anyway after all hes done over the last 3 years for the club...
Just imagine the confusion that would reign if there was a local successful business called Peel Park (i dont mean the pub) and they wanted to do this naming ground thing...

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
I'm sure there's room at the stadium for the interlink name if Mr Charnley is willing to continue with sponsorship,
Interlink stand perhaps,
Interlink bar and conference center,
Interlink medical center,
Interlink Roof etc. etc. etc.

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
well done Fraser Eagle
as a small boy I went to school across from their 4 coach garage on Tanpits lane in Church. If you go to Shuttleworth Mead Industrial Estate you will see a much larger operation now.
well done

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium
I read about this in the LET, where they banged on about about their 'We're backing Stanley' campaing over and over. Then, in the opinion article on the letters page, they stated that this season was evn better than our FA Cup run last year!! What run!? Losing to leigh in the Qualifying game does not sound like a run to me...
