Agree entirely. This is a huge task that has been undertaken and I was merely offering what I thought was an important reminder. ASFC and money do not always sit easily together.

There is evidence in another thread of the cynicism amongst some people. Whilst so many people are so busy doing so many different things, it would be easy for control to be lost. However, ......

Don't know whether it's a special account or not, but there's a sort code and account number at the bottom of the "Donate Now" page on the "Save our Stanley" site. I used that when paying my tithe by internet banking.

This is a different account number to the one for the weekly draw, so hopefully it is the special account for SOS.

Like me Red you'll agree that t'Telegraph ( the LOCAL one!)..have gone the extra mile in today's edition !..
Front Page/Back Page and two inside pages devoted to not only tonight's game
(Well done Owen Coyle!)..but also the S.O.S. appeal in general..
Their vow to support the Red's 'all the way'...is to be applauded by everyone!.

Re: Fund raising and publicity

Ive got to admit I looked at your website yesterday and theres no mention of fridays game being a "Open Fans Day". With it being on Friday there might be fans from other clubs other than Bury who might want to come. I know you and Bury fans are but Shouldnt the club be pushing this game a bit more to non accrington fans?

I doubt that anybody has a clue. Without looking it up the areas opened at the Turf amount to about 12,000, so they must be expecting less than that.

If they push it too much they won't have enough room

I know there's a few off the Burnley board who have said they aren't going tonight because they don't attend friendlies, but will be attending Friday night s game instead.

thats a fair enough reason, they will contribute more by going to the crown.

Re: Fund raising and publicity

Not sure if this has been said before, Burnley have also stated there are no guests to tonights match, even sponsors, the board etc are also paying on the gate tonight

Wonder if you get there early enough you will catch the players going through the turnstiles???
