No...
We released 2 players, no one has been sold as of yet.
They may all be jumping ship down in Wales but our lads seem to be fully on board.

...and who's fighting?

Re: Gary Roberts

Eric does seem to be upset about the situation. Here's another quote from the BBC website:

"Gary has decided he wants to move because of the offer Yeovil have made him. They are working through an agent. But I would prefer to make him sit on his backside for a year, because he has 12 months left on his contract."

Re: Gary Roberts

I know that we will eventually settle on a fee for him, but it would be nice if chairmen and managers actually started carrying out threats like these. It would make more players actually respect the contracts they've signed and reduce the influence of these transfer-seeking, commission-chasing agents.

Re: Gary Roberts

Don't think they will let him sit on his backside for 12 months, coz then we wouldn't get a bean for him, better to have him sold now for a fee however much they settle on.

That is not strictly true. The players that Turner offered good contracts to have all re-signed. Those that have left have chosen to stay in the Conference apart from Ryan Green who had several "issues" locally and may have found life in Hereford a little difficult! We offered contracts to all players U24 - that does not mean we wanted or expected all players to stay. If you look at what happened to Chester and Barnet when they went up it is clear that the transition to league football does require a cull of players. Also, remember that Graham turner has been doing this a lot longer than John Coleman and has far more experience to call on. We will be fine, no-one has jumped ship although a few have walked the gang-plank.

Re: Gary Roberts

He doesn't and won't have to because he would not suit this club. Attitude, behaviour and performance leave him woefully short. Time will tell.

Re: Gary Roberts

One has to question the guy's commitment to Stanley. Often great on the pitch, but to turn up late for a championship celebration, ever heard of that before?

The club should take what it can get and move on.

Re: Gary Roberts

Looks like we may have given up on Roberts. We're apparently in for Paul Parry at Cardiff.
