Getting in at Watford

Already posted this on the tempy board, but hopefully worth repeating ...

I e-mailed the Watford ticket office and they came back (in less than 2 minutes !) to confirm away fans can pay at the gate on Tuesday. So no excuses for us southern exiles not to be there.

Also, are there any plans for a rendezvous with beer before the game ? I need to try harder to meet some of you.

Indeed. Should be a good evening. That is, if me and the Bloater don't get lost. Not that this could ever happen... certainly never head off the wrong way down a motorway, oh no...

Re: Getting in at Watford

Oh, and as I also said on the other place; I sent the Stanley Store an email about tickets, and they replied in 7 minutes...

(Watford took a few hours to reply to me...)

I phoned the Stanley office to order my ticket for the match and pay for it last Wednesday but it has not turned up here yet - and neither have my Darlington programs !!!

Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow but if not, I'll buy a ticket at Watford at the gate. I will be coming to the match straight from work.

Re: Getting in at Watford

Any London or Southern-based Stanley fans interested in having a few decent pints before the game doesn't have much choice in Watford. A couple of boozers with Adnams are the Estcourt Arms and the Estcourt Tavern, a small walk in between each. But the best beer - and hence where I'll be from around 5.30 tomorrow - is at the Southern Cross, 41-43 Langley Road (postcode is WD17 4PP for online maps). If anyone would like to join me then please come along.

Phil

Thanks Phil - if the A3 and M25 are kind and we make it in time, may see you there. Any problems likely with colours ?
