Free hot drinks and food courtesy of the Gillingham chairman for the intrepid 28 Stanley fans. Nice touch and much appreciated.

Gills fans saying they were lucky we were poor in the final third. Sounds like we left our shooting boots at home. Hope Jeffers is OK?

Re: Gillingham match thread

Firslty well done to the 28 - especially any who travelled from the NW. Good to see that Scally recognised that with the free food and drink - nice gesture.

So, onto the game. I like the way you pass the ball around, its nice to see football. To be honest I felt that you missed a real cutting edge up front (as do we so not an uncommon issue). One nil is always nervous but although you had a lot of the play second half you never really hurt us. It was a great strike to win the game and yes we did celebrate like we had won the league at the end. Every win is priceless for us now as we look to secure promotion and then move onto the title.

All the best to Stanley for the rest of the season I hope you stay up.

Re: Gillingham match thread

Apparently our Amine ran the show in the second half and Gills fans are getting in the queue behind the Northampton fans to get their managers to sign him up next season. I really hope we can keep him here after we stay up!!
