Godwin

Was hoping Godwin would feature for Hartlepool in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday but hear today on Radio Cleveland that he's injured for today's league game.

Re: Godwin

According to Sky Sports news he's likely to be out of action for a month.Got an ankle injury or something. Looks like the injury jinx to strike our ex players has struck again!!

According to this Godwin (now known as "Rafa" apparently) played and saved a certain goal against in the Monkey Hangers' win at Vale:

Re: Godwin

Godwin played 120 minutes at Hillsborough tonight but I am delighted to say that Wednesday's French Midfielder Yoann Folly scored 34 seconds prior to penalties sending his centre back partner Mr Nelson home disappointed again.

Re: Godwin

From an account I heard on tonight's Radio Sheffield it did not sound like one of Godwin's more composed performances last night.

This is an account off Owlszone:

"I would agree with that we weren't lucky, because Hartlepool were awful.

There was a chance 1st half when Budtz flapped at a ball and palmed it down in the centre of the box, Whelan snatched at his shot and blasted it at a defender rather than being a bit more clinical and putting it away, it contrasted perfectly for me with the goal that Eastwood scored against us only he was clinical and scored.

The big black centre half was there for the taking but for some reason not one of our players played off him, he was panic stricken everytime the ball came near him."
