Without a doubt, and the nice thing about him is he doesn't think it's beneath him to be here, compared to a certain other loanee here who was from a club in our league and made it patently clear he didn't want to be at Stanley and did nowt for us. Godwin looks like he's really enjoying his time here - just wish we could have him for keeps

Re: Godwin Antwi
2 appearances, 2 man of the match awards - what else is there to say about the bloke? I was at the Torquay game and he was solid. No disrespect to Torquays attack, but Im sure he will be in for a tougher time against Walsall on Saturday - thats going to be the real acid test for a lot of people here I would have thought.....
Wicked picture on the official site which is now my desktop background

Re: Godwin Antwi
[quote=shakermaker;403437]Godwin is pretty much single handedly running our defence as of late.
he has been awsome but i think we wud be doin the rest of the lads a dis service to say it is all down to him. Dave martin has added an air of confidence to the back 4 that we have lacked all season. Rocky has continued his very impressive season. Cav has come back into the team and added some composure and quality in possession. Liam has been steady as usual and the rest of the lads have been giving plenty of protection to the back 4 especially procky in imho. But i do believe he will play in the prem one day.

Re: Godwin Antwi
Rocky has continued his very impressive season.
Had to pick up on this point, got to admit, I have been one of his detractors last couple of seasons...... but, I think that, this season, he has been absolutely awesome, probably one of our best players to adapt to the higher league.

Well underestimated in the past IMHO. Has stepped up well, and not caught out as much as the others (see season's bookings, for instance). About time he got the credit, we'd be down by now without him, for sure.
Always going to be prone to the odd mistake, but aren't we all.

Hello boys and girls, its a bit of a slow day so thought I'd join in. Nice site (once you can find the right forum).
We don't have rubbish on 20K a week in the reserves anymore (Diao) its entirely youth. The oldest there now is Danny Guthrie (19 - loaned to saints now). Antwi has captained them once I think.
He's always been excellent from his first game whether its reserves or Fa youth cup. Great to see he's doing so well for you. (He even got his own wallpaper didn't he lol).
I really like Martin as well, got a good presence for someone so young.

I don't remember him scoring any, although he did play a few games upfront at the start for the reserves. We had a lot of spare CBs. Infact we still do because Rafa seems to buy a couple more young CBs every transfer window. (Same for keepers, it's getting silly now).
What do you lot think of the way he plays the ball out of defense? Its the one part of his game I don't think he's that great with. You've done very well to get him on loan though, he's an excellent player.
