Re: Good Luck Ian
Here, here. I started watching Stanley cos he signed for the club and would now consider myself a Stanley fan because of it. I know he'll be a success and hopefully that has a knock on effect for Stanley.

Re: Good Luck Ian
Rob's comments on Fishy site say Swansea met the conditions in Ian's contract. I'd imagine that would mean that they met the club's valuation of the player.
Legally it has to be a loan but I think they can sign the permanent deal now but it can't come into force until 1st Jan.

Re: Good Luck Ian
So it's official then - bloody hell we'll be lucky to have 11 players on the pitch come Saturday the way we're going. There'd better be some good news before 5 o'clock tonight.

Well i am absolutley GUTTED to see craney go, it's salt in the already open wound of roberts going! Words really do fail me how cheesed off i am right now!!!
On the other hand, good luck lad you deserve it, I'm sure you'll cut it at that level.
Good luck to the new signings, you've a challenging task ahead of you, let's get stuck into 'em!

See: http://www.swansea.vitalfootball.co....le.asp?a=39087
"Jackett (Swansea Manager) said, they are keen to sign him permanently and it's rumoured that we are paying in excess of £100,000 for his services."

Noooooooooooooooooooooo
Come back Ian we love you.
Don`t leave us for a team who don`t even have triangular corner flags.
Your true path to enlightenment is the way of the Stanley.

Re: Good Luck Ian
Good luck Ian, hope it works out for you. Can't help but think though that just like Gary's departure, the timing is crap. Apparently there was a clause in Ian's contract which allowed him to talk to other clubs if they offered a 'certain amount', a clause which was only put in this summer to persuade him to re-sign for us. Wouldn't it have been better, if the pair of them had to go, that they went before this season started. That way we'd have had the money for them now plus any new signings would have been settled in to the squad

It would depend on how much was left on their contract before this season or whether they were signed at all!! If they were between contracts then they would have walked for nothing!!
Good luck Ian x
