Good Luck Today

Good luck to those representing Accrington Stanley in the High Court today. Todays descision will be made by a Judge not the HMRC. Judges are inherently intelligent and balanced people and I beleive that the person in control of our club's destiny today will look at what has been done in the last 8 weeks and realise that any group that can raise close to 308,000k from nowhere is certainly worth giving another week or two to get the rest together. Likewise I would also hope that the HMRC representitive will also be a resonable person and not contest such a descision seeing that a few days in the scheme of things is not a long time to wait for recovery of the full debt.

A lot of hope and luck, I know, but its all we've got now.

Here's to the best 0-0 draw ever at Grimsby on Friday night

The only trouble is that they haven't got near the total required. They only have £117k as near as damn it - the remainder was supposed to come from the directors putting in £100k and a short term loan of £58k and even then that does not come to £308k. The money that is there is from supporters arranging functions selling t-****s, wristbands, cups and activities such as the car boot sale and the ultras games plus bucket collections and donations to the club. None of this was organised by the club or the directors, it was ALL organised by true fans of Accrington Stanley. Our only hope is that HMRC take that + any shortfall that Ilyas Khan and Peter Marsden have offered. My personal hope is for a hostile takeover of the club by these 2 fine gentlemen and Peter take up the post of Chairperson. O'Neill and his cronies out I say, all they have done is spread lies and damned lies either himself or his mouthpiece Rob Heys.

Re: Good Luck Today

Illyas told Peter Shaw last night to tell the fans that his original offer is in place that it is ran by the fans not by himself, tho dont know whether Marsden will be in acting chair role once the over throw has commenced.
