Good Pubs for Away Fans (Torquay)
Hi there !
I have had a couple of guys from the Torquay website ask me which are the best pubs to go to in Accrington prior to their away match with Stanley.
As I don't live in the area, I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to where they could drink, so that I can pass them on.
Many thanks in advance for your help !

Re: Good Pubs for Away Fans (Torquay)
pretty much any around town centre or within 1/4 mile of the ground on Whalley Road. All away friendly.
Greyhound, Crown and Oaklea probably the pick.

It's hardly Torquay!
Besides, they say home is where the heart is... and Stanley is where my heart is... and Stanley is in Accrington... therefore Accrington is my home!

They will have to behave and sit down though. No standing at the bar.

Re: Good Pubs for Away Fans (Torquay)
I`ve never been in the Crown (always full) or the Oaklea Tavern (not sure where that is) but the beer in the Greyhound is top notch and away fans tend to come in with no bother at all, just some friendly chat.

Errmm, the Clubhouse might be empty
Or, it might be locked? Safer with the above, really.
