Gornell fee agreed.

Just had a gander on the stanley site and apparently a undisclosed fee has been agreed. Makes me wonder about the fee, hope we got a good amount!

Will this fee go to helping to strengthen the squad?

most likely not, wouldn't mind a raise in the wage budget though. Then maybe we don't have to rebuild every season

Re: Gornell fee agreed.

With this money plus fees to be agreed for Jimmy Ryan and Cisak surely that will mean we will get a tidy sum of money coming in to the club. Part of this should be given to JC, he was the one who brought these players in so why shouldn't he get a part of it to spend? If nothing else it may help to tie players down to longer contracts and stop JC having to completely rebuild every season.

Re: Gornell fee agreed.

money should be spent on the infrastructure of the club. if the club could bring more in then we would be able to keep hold of players every year.

If we spent any 'windfall' on this years budget then we'd not be able to keep those players the year after. Windfalls should be spent on the club.

Had we roofed the clayton end at the right time we might have kept hold of the fairweather supporters who watched the great cup run of the early noughties. Had we roofed the Clayton End at a slightly later again date we might have kept some of the fairweather fans who watched us win the Conference. Had we a better clubhouse we might be able to hold bigger and more frequent functions that would pay for a new strikers wages .... etc

That's a good idea. We need to improve the facilities at the crown, bigger club shop and better club house are a must. Then again, what is the point if we are looking at building a new stadium?

Depends on the scale of time to be at that point?

Looking at the minutes of the shareholders meeting, they are looking at season 2014-2015 perhaps. Also looks like sports centre site is favourite. Back on topic, fees received from transfers will help the management and ground improvement adn other ancilliary debts.

Wasn't the big tesco in the centre of accy closing down? surely thats a better spot. Walking distance to pubs and centre of town plus, train station on the door step. Seems the better option to be to be honest.

Re: Gornell fee agreed.

No chance it will close Gribbster.

They have invested way too much cash into it.

Authorities would never allow it anyway, as it's so close to the town centre. (too difficult to police). They would rather have a football ground, miles away from anywhere.

I don't think the sports centre is such a good idea either. It will be lousy for the traffic and it's too far for me to walk.
