Don't think Barry played last night Henry

At the fans forum Coley admitted that he was only signed as a squad player but his form meant he had to be selected. He also said he was due a rest & then he played well against York & Southport I think & Coley left it!

I think he is a very very good player

Re: Grayes can only draw

I think he will become a very very good player. Remember, he is only 19 and anchoring the midfield is not normally a job given to someone so young.

Ithink that last night was a poor performance, lucky to get away with a win
As for saying ramsbottom's keeper was good ? i would say he was playing well, for how much abuse he got, but some of his dives were so late, they were just trickling in, when paul cook had a volley from 25 yards out, he did not know what to do, luckily for him, it hit the frame and bounced out
Hopefully, Barrow in the next round

Leave him alone, for God's sake - he's going to be a star. He must be the fittest player in the squad. Rather have him than 3 Brannans.

He may well twinkle in the future but I do not think at the moment that he is good enough to be selected week in week out and on Saturday, without Craney in midfield with him I dread to think what might happen

Re: Grayes can only draw

Anthony Barry is immense! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i do how anyone can criticise his performances! I do agree his distribution is sometimes poor but his work ethic and ground covered is a game is massive...

Everyone has thier own opinions but I think the problem with some people on here not mentioning any names they will critize a player when he plays badly which is fair enough but when he plays well they dont mention anything

not trying to be negitive but where are all the people that were calling for coleys head not so long ago??????

Re: Grayes can only draw

in my opinion Anthony Barry can be compared to Robbie Williams in the sense that a couple of years ago, Rocky was a young lad with loads of potential; however he was getting in the side every week even after playing a terrible game the week before.
i think Barry will become a great player for us in a couple of years once his game has settled down and he can 1)read the game a lot better and 2)improve his own abilities for his position; ie his distribution of the ball and his positioning.
i know all the Barry-groupies will now say "oh but who will we play instead of him"....
well why not play Jagielka in Barry's role with Matty O'Neill out on the wing - then bring Barry on for the last 20 when he can bring his big quality into our game - HIS FITNESS.

Did you see Matty O'Neill last night? Didn't play well despite having a lot of skill the lad is about 4 rungs below the level Russell Payne played at?

Give Russ a Call b4 Matty!

The attendence at the IES was 290

I can see why everybody feels cooky had a good game but if you watch every player feels obliged to give him the ball and on numerous occasions it mean't the halt of a good attack.
