Re: Ground Sponsorship
The club might want to think about piloting a few freebie sponsorships until the end of the season; targeting major manufactures and giving them a couple of pitch side advertising boards (painted up at their own expense) and local naming rights of the ground for that given month including a free plug in the program. If by chance there is an increase of sales for those companies in the period following it may encourage them to sponsor the following season. If nothing comes of it there's nothing lost for the club.
Freebie seats could be away of bringing new or born again blood to the Crown. Tickets for Troops would attract a few, engage with the British Legion are local wings clubs with a few blocks of seats. Local ethnic groups, sporting clubs, scouts, girl guides. Try anything to spark interest. If there is only 1200 coming in each week, give 300 tickets away if any of them spend money on a program, pie, pint or shirt then goodwill will have brought a profit.
Yeah it's been done before in some cases, but times are really hard and we have to reinvent ourselves to change how others see us.
