Re: Guess The Gate - Nottingham Forest

:engsmil: :engsmil: if the gate was 2146 and nottingham forest sold their allocation off 1500 then that means that there were only 646 accy stanley supportors there, now as i was there and it was pretty crowded how does eric and the gate men get this figure as it looked to me like about 3000,even tho this only means that asfc had a home support of only 1500 tonite for a carling cup tie,v former european cup winners, ddoes any one else think that it being on SKY TV puts people off going

Forest brought just over 700. So around 1400 Reds there.
hmm looked like more but the ground can be deceiving! especially with the amount of press there tonight
Still need to get a lot more Accy fans on.

Re: Guess The Gate - Nottingham Forest

For obvious reasons, I watched the game on Sky. Delighted with the result but disappointed with the attendance. I do recognise though that the League Cup does not have the appeal it once did and that other clubs will be similarly dismayed by poor gates.

Thankfully, the money paid by Sky to screen the game, the prize money for winning the game and the fact we have another match to look forward to will help the swell the coffers (or at least keep the bailiffs from the door for now).

Re: Guess The Gate - Nottingham Forest

we cant dispute the gates anymore they are 100% correct so even though it look busy there was still plenty of space in c ow shed, on terrace and in the far end of the main stand still should be better!!

Re: Guess The Gate - Nottingham Forest

in reply to the personal private message that said :dur 624: I was going off the information in the L E T that forest had sold their allocation of 1500 tickets, i was not slagging asfc supporters off, just wondering why it looked more on than the announced gate attendance and asking if it being on SKY TV did,nt help
