Re: Harvey Rodgers

Good signing by the club. Really liked what Mr.Rodgers offered last season. He was always looking to get himself and the ball forward and brought an extra threat to opposition defences. Hope he gets back to match fitness quickly and helps Stanley back to winning ways.

Re: Harvey Rodgers

I recall Rodgers the Artful Dodger playing at R.B. during his time with us.
Johnson may be the one who loses out, especially as he's also had a couple of yellow cards in recent games.
We shall see tomorrow!

Re: Harvey Rodgers

Didn’t Rodgers play the right hand side of a back three rather than full back? Might have been after the Don had his op.
That might work again.
Much as I like Hughes and he generally does a good job, he’s not in the same league as Rodgers or Big Ben or the Don. Can Hughes play fullback or does his lack of mobility make that a no no?

Maybe the system will change? But is he fit? Not been playing regularly at Fleetwood. If anywhere near fit he'll be on the bench, if not in the Stands.

hope you are right. do not rate johnson as a full back and clarke seems better with the don behind him. be interested when the teams are read out today.

Re: Harvey Rodgers

When Harvey was with us previously he played at Right Back, sometimes in a three but mainly in a line of four. He only played at Centre Back a couple of times when he first came to play for us. He seemed to be very popular with his team mates and with the Stanley Faithful who loved his 'Galloping' forward runs and his enthusiasm and desire.
I think that he would still be best played in this position but Coley and Jimmy have the same problem as before because Janoi Donacien's best position is at Right Back too. Janoi has been doing a great job at Left Back and I doubt if he will be moved.
Selection for Harvey would also depend on the level of his 'Match Fitness' which we cannot comment on but Coley and Jimmy will have made that assessment already this week in training.
I think that he will be on the bench but I think that it is very likely that he will play for thirty minutes in the closing stages of the match.
Welcome back Harvey, it's good to have you back, and good luck to you and the team today!

Re: Harvey Rodgers

Richards Everton makes way not Hughes. Clark injured so Dunne in at full back and Johnson moved forward.
