He was at Old Stanley's last match - 2/3/1962
Passed my big motorbike test today and was celebrating with my instructor (who was waiting for the other guy to finish his test) when we got onto the subject of Football.
A chap in the waiting room said he was from Crewe but was still smarting that he'd seen Crewe beat Stanley 4-0 at Gresty Road only to have the 2 points struck from the record because Stanley went under days later! I mentioned I'd seen things come full circle having been at Woking to see Stanley return to the League and at Chester to see Stanley's next League match.
