Hello from Germany...again

Iīve posted that in allready in the "welcome area" but there was no help for me there

So hereīs my question. Iīve played yesterday FIFA 07 against my brother with your team and I was betting with him, that the names of your player (thatīs not the correct word for it, isnīt it?) are the real names. I canīt find any facts in the web about your squad in the season of 2006/07. My thought was to go to the real experts and ask you: Was Harris a midfielder, Edwards a defender and Mangan a forward? I just have to know it

It would be nice if you could help me.

PS. Did you know that Accrington Stanley was in "11 Freunde" a famous german football magazine?

Greets from Germany

Hi, yes you are correct, Jay Harris was a midfielder for us & Andy Mangan was a striker (both have left the club now), Phil Edwards was & is still one of our defenders (most would say our best & certainly our most consistent).
Hope this helps & your brother pays up on the bet

Don't worry, this forum would have to close down if it required good English.

HaHa. That will be good for me.

I saw that there are Ultras in Accrington. Thatīs just great because in Germany every "normal" supporter who is sick of the Ultras is saying that the best support of the world is british and there arenīt any Ultras in England so in their opinion we donīt need any Ultras in Germany if there arenīt any in UK.

Ultras in Accrington is far more "watered" down than say Schikeria of Bayern Munich.....

Ultras Forever (Apolitical, Non Violent, Anti Fascist!)

PS I wouldn't look to England for best support, the youngsters are being priced out especially at the top end & many grounds are silent for long spells. Example 500 Sheff Utd to Crystal Palace, maybe 20 "singers" 18-35....... Germany's "fan" culture is a shining light to many around the Globe

Well, there are also some sad changes around here. The prices for tickets are increasing in every season, police operations on every matchday with oftentimes arbitrary punishments against fans, especially Ultras, are part of the game. Many Ultras are locked out of their stadium. The Ultras of my favourite club Cologne FC, they are called "Wilde Horde", for example have about 25 people who arenīt able to watch the match inside the stadium.

Good luck for the match tonight !
