Re: Hereford are up
Seems to me Mr Mkandiware gets away with blatant handballs quite a lot, did he not do the same against us at Edgar street and get away with it? Or maybe it was at our gaffe, can't quite remember, but I know he has done it a couple of times this season gone. He must have tiny hands if the ref cannot see that one

I think they do that at many of the play off games nowadays Rob - either fireworks or tickertape - so this is not unusual, although perhaps a trifle over the top.
I did have to remind a Halifax fan (over on the Hereford website) who had suggested that they and Hereford were the best two teams in the Conference last season (and had said "Forget Accrington "), of a few salient facts concerning Stanley last season, in relation to both Halifax and Hereford - and to point out that Stanley were worthy champions and had not always received the credit they deserved.
Personally, I feel that Hereford deserved their moment of glory after their disappointments over the previous two seasons, and I for one cannot understand some of the vitriol which I have heard against them from various places (including sadly on here). In fact, one nameless individual told me that I was a "freak" for having been pleased at Hereford's success !!! lol Fortunately, I am old enough not to let comments like that bother me - and if people cannot accept a view which differs from their own, it is their problem and not mine.
I agree about the "champions " bit - that is a bit over the top - but in their fans eyes, they are champions (not THE CHAMPIONS - that is Stanley ), but we all know who won the Conference and should not let that fact detract from the Hereford supporters obvious joy on the day.

Re: Hereford are up
As you say Urban Spaceman, everyone is entitled to their opinion but after the way Stanley fans, players, staff and directors were treated at their place this season I cannot understand any Stanley fan believing that Hereford actually deserve to go up.
Next season I don;t care where we finish in the league al long as it's above that lot!

Don't get me wrong Accy Mad, I too hope that we will finish above them not only next season but every season !!! I did not go to the game at Edgar Street so cannot comment on the behaviour of some of their fans - but on their performances on the pitch over the last three seasons, I think they did deserve promotion.
It does not worry me at all that the majority of people on here will probably disagree with me. That is their prerogative and is what healthy debate is all about !

Re: Hereford are up
I think we will finish above them, as we have shown this season, we are very good at going foward, and we split them wide open at ES.
Roll on League 2

Re: Hereford are up
It was a match with atmosphere ,no disrespect intended ,that you could only imagine.
True you are the champions and no one can ever take that away from you,you were the best team by several miles, our encounters next season will be special and my guess televised ,I hope we get each other first game .
In response to a lot of criticism of our fans ,I met a family of accy fans on the train going into hereford to watch accy v the ford we got chatting an having some nice banter, more hereford fans got on the train at the next 2 stops and joined in ,the father of the accy family looked very nervous but his wife and the little lad joined in ,when we all got off the train we even escorted them to a decent watering /eating hole and later when i bumped into them again pointed them in the right direction when they appeared hopelessly lost in town, there are no sign posts.
We do have a lot of nutters follow the bulls but not all of us are.

Well said Tracker. I think that as in so many cases where there has been trouble at football matches, it is the few who give the whole club a bad name and everyone assumes that all that clubs supporters are like that.
Even Millwall have many fans who only want to watch the match and enjoy it - and not participate in a punch up.
Personally, I look forward to the games next season between Stanley and Hereford and hope that both teams do well in League Two !

Re: Hereford are up
Amen, my brother
Anyone i have spoke to who watched the Play Off Final have said that Halifax had 3/4 decisions that could have been crucial to them
