I know it’s been mentioned before but how can Stanley compete with the likes of Blackburn and Burnley? Blackburn’s cheapest adult ticket is £20 cheaper then ours at £250 and you don’t even have to pay in a lump sum, they have the option of paying monthly, can you pay monthly at Stanley? Burnley is offering everyone who bought a season ticket this season a free one next season if they get promoted!
I would have considered getting a season ticket at Stanley if you could pay monthly like at rovers as i can not afford to pay a lump sum of £270 out of my wage. I don’t really think there is much more the club can do apart from trying to win fans back playing good football Last edited by neilhaj; 25-08-2007 at 09:10. |

I respect your passion, but being honest, Accrington Stanley is not a national institution. Most people don't really care what happens to the club. The club/name is famous for being a failure (like Eddie the Eagle) and for going out of the league due to financial problems. I know journalists seem to love us (love the story, etc), but most people couldn't care less. That goes for people in the town as much as for people outside of it. I said this a long time ago, but maybe the town of Accrington can not sustain a full-time football league club?
