Dead right. Both McConville and Miles never get to the byline to pull balls back so the strikers can meet the cross head on. They are always having to head balls from crosses coming from obliquely behind them. We have seen how deadly Symes can be from corners. To me, crosses pulled back from the byline is the most deadly attacking ploy, and Turner does deliver on this.

I hope he has the right change with him. The drivers are very fussy on that route and I know they don't accept notes.

Personally, I'm hoping he stays on a stop and buys us all a drink in the Oak Lea!

Apparently, he uses very strong language so he may get barred from the Oak Lea.

Do you think he'll arrive in Accy early and do some market research, checking up on prices and products around Accy's shops? I know that Harrods charge over the odds for stuff like truffles and foie gras but I don't know what those prices are on Accy market.

Aye, but don't forget, Ossy Mills is Lancashires biggest free tourist attraction but Harrods is way down the list of London's tourist attractions. I say we can teach Mr El-Fayed a thing or two.

the club shop are expecting a delivery of 500 flags, red and white chequered variety, as well as a choice of new scarves. There is a new scarf anyway, but also some one-off Fulham/Stanley ones.

PLEASE, PLEASE get your hands in your pockets for some of these items! It is has been all too rare that Stanley have been pro-active on these sort of sales and we have all cried out for them for years. BACK IT NOW WHILST ITS THERE

Re: How's Accy Gearing up for it's Big Day

...now be nice to our Egcentric Egyptian, don't forget that in 2002 when we played York City in the cup Mr Fayed let them have Fulham's half of the gate receipts:-

Fayed's gift may be York's salvation

By Sarah Edworthy
Published: 5:30PM GMT 24 Jan 2002

TWO days before his club's fourth-round FA Cup tie against York City, Fulham chairman Mohamed Fayed pledged his club's share of the gate receipts - estimated at £30,000 - to York City Supporters' Trust, to help the Third Division club's campaign for survival beyond this season. The Football Association have given approval for this unprecedented gesture.

"Football is the people's game," Fayed said. "It is the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game in this country. York are a historic club with fine traditions and it would be a tragedy for the fans if the club were to die."

So you never know, maybe you should play that song by the Bangles pre-match..
